I might not be able to attend the live call but will try my best, so here my questions: - is a verbal cue to stop social play when gone too far similar to a tactile cue (collar grab)? I use my “uh-uh” a lot with both dogs also during play and I find it conflicting for them (it signals that they did something wrong) so I’d like to stop using it but want to hear the difference between verbal and tactile “correction” during play - Tokaji is definitely a dog that likes to hold stuff in his mouth during play (even social play) so that would not interfere with the play? Is it advisable to use a toy or something neutral / different (ie piece of clothing or slipper etc) that is not also used during toy play?

Tokaji’s favorite toy reinforcer is search for a toy (best if furry). He usually comes right to me to celebrate but today he waited until I invited with my voice, not sure what created the conflict (the phone in my hand potentially?) so I left this part for review

I was rewatching some play videos of myself and Tokaji and this is from literally a couple of months ago - we were doing some search and retrieve drills, and each time he would find the rabbit fur toy we would celebrate with a classic play event. To be completely honest, this makes me so sad and emotional right now as I am unsure how I could jeopardize our play so much when it was already so joyful and pure (in my biased view, of course). I must have put too much pressure on him and just transformed it into a chore somewhere along the way, anyway here I am to rebuild it - better and stronger 🙏🏼

I mentioned before that Saffron has a very stalky behavior with the ball and when it’s kicked rather than thrown, her prey drive kicks in even more! So here is a little demo courtesy of my Saff and my partner in the afternoon :)
