Train Your Nafs Before It Trains You
Assalam aleikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh The nafs wants comfort. It wants sleep, scrolling, food, and ease. It whispers: “Later…” “You’ve done enough…” “Just relax…” But our Salaf didn’t build greatness through comfort. Ibn al-Qayyim said: "The nafs is like a child — if you don’t train it, it will grow up spoiled." Every time you wake up early, send the DM, resist the urge to quit… You’re not just working. You’re disciplining your soul. “And as for the one who feared standing before his Lord and restrained his soul from desires — then Jannah will be his home.” (Surah al-Nāzi‘āt 79:40–41) ⚔️ Your real enemy is not the leads, the algorithm, or the silence. It’s the nafs that says stop when you should keep going. Train it now — or you’ll keep living below your potential.
