I’m new to interns and have no idea how to get one through cold emailing. So it would be great if anyone can give me any advice or suggestions! Hi! I’m wondering if there’s any challenge/hackthons/comp that is beginners friendly? In Canada and US region. I’m a high school junior interested in CS/AI. I would say I’m still a beginner in coding only know a bit about JavaScript and coding using React. Same with AI, I’ve been to a summer camp about AI but nothing else.

This challenge is called big data challenge. Participants will take a data science course provided by CISCO and receive a certification upon submission. They are need to write a research paper to showcase their result from analyzing the data provided. Then the research result will be marked. Finalist can receive $1000 per group. There’s a $20 entry fee. Preferably participants from US or Canada, as the final round will be held in Canada. Pm me if you are interested!
