I am a DNPâprepared, boardâcertified CRNA and retired Army anesthetist who now balances active clinical practice with teaching at multiple universities, mentoring the next generation of nurse anesthetists and contributing to the scholarly literature in anesthesia and education. Drawing on years of highâacuity trauma work, classroom and simulationâbased instruction, and editorial and publishing experience, I focus on practical, evidenceâinformed approaches to safe, highâreliability care under pressure. Outside the OR and classroom, I have a long history in bodybuilding and strength training, which shapes my disciplined, performanceâoriented mindset and the way I coach students, colleagues, and patients toward sustainable excellence. I'm currently studying for the CSCS exam because my son's HS desires to have me as their strength and conditioning coach. I also love learning! Fun fact, I'm currently prepping to break the world record in the deadlift only for my age group 55-59, 100 kg weight class in the IPF. That record right now is 683 lbs.
