Tip: your winter wash routine is probably scratching your paint. Cold months = more grit on the panel, and grit + one bucket + a dry chamois = swirl marks by spring. Three changes fix 90% of it: (1) Pre-rinse or snow foam BEFORE anything touches the paint, let it pull the grit off (2) Two buckets, grit guard in the rinse bucket, wash top-down (3) Ditch the chamois; a plush drying towel with a spritz of drying aid glides instead of grinding. Question for the group: what's your current drying method? Chamois, towel, blower, or "let the motorway handle it"? 😅 Be honest, no judgement.

Winter wash tip: the 2-bucket rule
Tip: the 2-bucket method is the single easiest way to stop swirl marks this winter. 🪣🪣 Most swirl marks don't come from the road, they come from washing. One bucket of soapy water + one bucket of clean rinse water (with a grit guard if you've got one). Wash your mitt, rinse it in the clean bucket before you reload with soap, and you stop dragging winter grit back across your paint. Two buckets. Five extra minutes. Years less damage. It's the first thing we teach in Module 1 at AAD Academy and it's free to start tonight. :) 🤔How many buckets are you washing with right now, be honest? And what's the one winter car-care question you want answered this week? Drop it below and we'll work through them. (Want to go deeper than tips? AAD Academy takes you from wash & decon all the way to ceramic and PPF. Ask us on WhatsApp 👉 wa.me/64273550330.)

One of the biggest misunderstandings in car care: “Ceramic coating means my car cannot get scratched.” Not quite. Today we’re discussing a REAL-WORLD CASE STUDY (identity removed) and breaking down: ✨ What ceramic coating actually does ✨ Why swirl marks and scratches can still happen ✨ How improper washing techniques can affect coated vehicles ✨ What customers should do BEFORE leaving their vehicle for service ✨ What to document if you discover damage afterwards ✨ How detailers can protect themselves from expensive disputes ✨ Why inspection reports and proper processes matter more than the coating bottle We’ll also explain: 🔍 Coating failure vs wash marring 🔍 When paint correction is necessary 🔍 Why ceramic coating can be considered sacrificial during correction 🔍 How to communicate professionally when issues happen This session is NOT about blaming anyone. This session is about helping: ✔ Car owners protect their investment ✔ Detailers protect their business ✔ Customers understand their rights and responsibilities Bring your questions and experiences below, we’d love to hear your stories.
