Guys, I’ve been sensing that this is an opportune time to really get clarity on an organizational mission statement and values. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Here are five strategies to accomplish that: 1. Be in God’s Word! In a time of temptation, quote Scripture that deals with the issue directly. When Jesus was tempted by satan in the desert, what did he do? The God of the universe quoted Scripture! If we don’t read His Word, we won’t know it and can’t memorize the Truth that quenches the fiery darts of the enemy. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”. Romans 12:2. “And we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5 2. Live in dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Rely on Him throughout each day by seeking His guidance and insight. Jesus sent us the “Helper” after He ascended to heaven. He knew we would need help. Seek the Holy Spirt relentlessly. 3. “Make a covenant with your eyes.” We guard our hearts by not feeding our minds with the things that promote sinful thoughts. Avoid videos, websites, periodicals, conversations, and situations that will set us up to fail. Delete those apps on your phone and on your tv’s that open up the portals of the enemy. 4. Principle of Replacement: If we don’t replace the sinful thoughts with godly ones, we leave an empty field for satan to fill. Example - When we see a woman we are tempted to lust after, turn our gaze, praise God for the way He has made us, and pray for that same woman. 5. Meet together (Iron Sharpens Iron!): Hebrews 10:25 says, “Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…” Fellowship is a boredom killer and boredom is not a good place to hang around. Fellowship promotes accountability. Fellowship encourages. Jesus saw the value in fellowship and small groups after all. He chose 12 disciples to hang with. When we meet together and prepare for meeting together, there isn’t time for idle thoughts. “Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

Most husbands who listen to their wives' advice are the most successful men because success isn't just about ambition; it's also about humility, trust, and the ability to listen. A wife's insights often come from a place of deep care, intuition, and thoughtful observation. When a man values that, he gains more than just advice, he gains perspective. He avoids mistakes he might not see on his own. He makes wiser decisions, both at home and in life. And more importantly, he builds a home where respect, partnership, and mutual support thrive. A peaceful, supportive home doesn't slow a man down. It gives him the clarity and strength to go even further. Because the most grounded, focused, and fulfilled men are often the ones who honor the voice beside them. (This is multiplied 1000 times when your wife loves Jesus)

Just finished this amazing book that shows Jesus didn’t just suddenly appear in the New Testament. He was present from the beginning of time as John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” All through the Old Testament Jesus was prophesied and and in a few instances He appeared before His birth in Bethlehem. When you read the Old Testament from this perspective, it’s a game changer for your faith. “God knew us before He formed us in the womb. Before the beginning of time He had a redemptive plan for us. This plan, grounded in God’s irrevocable promises and culminating in Jesus Christ, His Son, is plainly revealed for all students of Scripture. We must cherish the entire Bible, as it is our roadmap to eternal salvation. Jesus Christ lives and He saves, and because He saves we may live.” David Limbaugh

Husband of 40 years to a woman who was prayed into my life, who I thank God every day that she loves Jesus more than me. Father of three adult kids we love dearly and who return that love. Blessed. Servant of Jesus Christ, who prays to Father God every morning for humility and compassion, guided daily by the Holy Spirit.
