A long time ago in what seems like a galaxy far, far away, there was a local tech community in a coastal region of Devon in the UK. We had Tatung Einsteins, BBC Micros and a new machine from Atari - the ST. From those devices we coded in various languages and made working tools from databases to run charities to the Seiko UC 1000 wrist computer. The Tatung computers ran a lot of the car manufacturers’ machines to build the vehicles. As time passed you see phases in technology eat whole sectors like camera film and it keeps happening. Now we’re in the coding vs programming stage of building something new. Vibe coding has a lot to offer, you need to remember how the output will be used and build it well in the programming architecture so it’s future expandable and if needed portable. Security should be front loaded as it’s a pain to add in later. Glad to be here 💻
