Finally some cooler weather!
So happy my plants have a week off from 110+ temps !and 19% humidity is double the normal today! Can’t wait for things to start flowing again! Hope you guys are having a wonderful growing season!
Finally some cooler weather!
Rosemary
My rosemary bush has grown so big over the past couple of years. It loves the desert weather!

Thyme I tried from seed with no luck. Haven’t tried lavender outdoors but indoors it does well

@Lisa Miller the plant has grown 8-10 times since it was planted. It’s been growing here for about 15 years at least.

@Megan Webb honestly I can’t be sure yet. I still see some signs but I think I just recognized the mites after my whole garden was affected. It’s my first time dealing with them so … 🤷‍♂️🙏💪
Spider mites!!
I’m really struggling with the spider mites this year. I’m using DE every 4 days for the past month and I’m still finding signs of the damage it’s getting worse every day. Also dealing with the desert weather. It’s been over 100 since early may and I’ve seen temps of 120 on my thermometer.and it’s in the shade all day ! Anyone have any advice?

@Megan Webb thank you Megan. I’m thinking about giving up my summer gardening. I may stick to the cooler greenhouse seasons. I have a 22 by 28 ft greenhouse so hopefully I’ll do better!

@Megan Webb I’m not sure it would help with the spider mites. They’re so small. I’ve tried companion plants but they get the too. It’s horrible this summer. They thrive in the heatWe’re about 8’ degrees hotter so far this year. I’m sure it’ll beat last year’s record high summer again this year!
Potatoes
After months of waiting, this was the result…

I’ve done much worse ! I switched to 8 gallon fabric potatoe pots and I’ve had some pretty good results.
