Feature request: Read community leaderboards
I was testing whether Catknows can read a community’s leaderboard. This appears to be separate from the member list rather than simply a `most_points` sort. The leaderboard page shows several pieces of information that `list_members` does not: - 7-day leaderboard - 30-day leaderboard - All-time leaderboard - Rank, member and points within each time period - The logged-in member’s own all-time rank - Current level - Points required to reach the next level - The community’s level structure from Level 1 through Level 9 - Custom level names set by the community owner, where applicable, such as “Guppy”, “Sardine” or “Big Tuna” - Percentage of members currently at each level So the same member can have a different position on the 7-day, 30-day and all-time leaderboards, while the level structure is another separate piece of community-specific data. Skool exposes all of this at: /[community]/-/leaderboards Would it be possible to add a dedicated Catknows leaderboard function that reads this page/data directly?
👋 Back after two weeks + what's new in catknows
Hey people 👋 I'm back after almost two weeks :) In the meantime I built a few new things into catknows: 👉 Ask your AI "what just happened on Skool?" and it reads your notifications and opens the posts behind them 👉 See only the posts you haven't read yet, the top posts of the week or month, or one category 👉 Search posts and members by name 👉 For owners: your growth numbers (visitors, signups, where people come from) and your join requests, which you can approve or decline right from your AI 👉 The Skoolers leaderboard with the top earners for every category If you run catknows yourself, update it and reconnect it once. On the hosted one just reconnect the connector :) And I'm super happy about all the new faces here in the last weeks 🙏🏽 So a big hi to every single one of you ☺️! So I'm curious 🤔 Are you already using catknows? If yes, what for? And if not, why not? Drop it in the comments 👇🏽 PS: Tell your friends and your Skooler friends about catknows 🐾 Once we hit 100 members, everyone who joins after that pays $7 a month for the hosted version. Everyone who is here before keeps it free forever. We're at 59 right now, so be quick and grab it for free while you can :)

@Niklas Schröer thanks for adding the author filter after Kamil's comment 🙌🏽 That solves the main part. One remaining limitation I ran into: list_posts(author=...) still stops at 200 posts. So if a member has made more than 200 posts, Catknows can't reliably retrieve their full history. Example: I wanted the exact timestamps for all 75 Skool News posts by Sam Ovens in Skoolers. Sam has more than 200 posts overall, so the oldest Skool News posts may sit beyond that first batch. Would it be possible for Catknows to keep following Skool's pagination internally until the author's relevant history is exhausted? And for efficiency, could the author filter optionally be combined with a title/body search and lightweight output? Something like: author="sam" + title contains "Skool News #" → return only id, title and created_at That way Catknows could do the filtering before sending the results to the AI, rather than moving hundreds of full post records around unnecessarily. The 200 batch size itself is totally fine. It just shouldn't be the end of the retrievable history. 🐾

@Niklas Schröer one more place where the same 200-limit shows up: the new `get_follows` method. I tested it on both hosted and local. My profile currently has 210 followers and 23 people I follow. - Following: all 23 are returned - Followers: only 200 of the 210 are returned So again, the 200 batch size itself is totally fine - but it would be useful if Catknows could keep following Skool's pagination internally until the full followers/following list has been retrieved. Same principle as with `list_posts(author=...)`: 200 per batch is fine, 200 as the end of retrievable history is the limitation. 🐾
Feature request: Followers & Following
Would it be possible to add follower/following data to Catknows? For the connected account's own profile, ideally: - Total Followers + Following counts - Full paginated lists for both For other people's profiles, just the total Followers + Following counts would be useful. Skool lets you open their lists, but only exposes the first 30 entries, so retrieving those 30 through Catknows probably isn't particularly useful. For context, on your own profile Skool allows you to paginate through the complete Followers and Following lists - similar to the difference between member-list access as an admin vs regular member. My use case is comparing my full Followers and Following lists to identify mutual and one-way follows.

Yes 🙂 What kind of search do you mean? Catknows already lets the AI search/query the Skool data exposed through its read tools, so do you mean a search specifically within the Followers and Following lists, for example to check whether a particular person appears in either one? Or something else?
How to activate catknows in your AI (MUST READ)
Hey hoomans 👋 catknows connects your Skool account to the AI you already use. Your AI then sees what YOU see when you're logged in: your communities, their members and posts, your DMs, even the discovery charts. And it answers questions about all of it. Two ways in. Pick one. ☁️ HOSTED, zero setup 1. catknows.app → "Get started", sign up with your email. 2. Click the link in the confirmation mail. It's mandatory. 3. Back on catknows.app: "account" (top right), sign in. 4. Click "Connect Skool". A real browser opens on Skool's own login page. Your password goes straight to Skool, never to me. 5. Add this to your AI as a custom connector: mcp.catknows.app/mcp Claude and ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → add custom. Use a desktop browser for step 4. On phones the keyboard doesn't reach that window yet. Known bug, on the list. 💻 SELF HOSTED, free forever github.com/nklsschroeer707/catknows Needs Python and a terminal, or an AI that can drive one. This way also gets the vault: catknows writes what it fetches into Markdown on your disk, so it remembers. 😼 YOUR FIRST QUESTION "Which Skool communities am I in?" A list with roles and member counts means it all works. Then the real ones: "Who joined this month but never posted?" · "Which post got the most comments this week?" · "Summarize my unread DMs." 🔍 WHAT THIS IS, PLAINLY You're giving an AI your eyes, and only when you ask, your fingers. It sees exactly what you see when logged in. No more. It can post or DM for you, but every write shows you the text first and waits for your yes. Nothing is stored on my side. Fetched, answered, gone. Disconnect any time with one click. 💰 WHAT IT COSTS Self hosted: $0, forever. Hosted: free now, $7/month or $77/year once we hit 100 members. Everyone here before member 100 keeps it free, forever. Joining early is the whole discount. Something breaks? Post it. That's how most of this got built. ᓚᘏᗢ

@Iyaraa Iam My answer is the mirror image of Niklas's: ChatGPT... but for exactly the same reason. 😄 I use ChatGPT every day and haven't used Claude, so I cannot honestly claim a fair comparison. Catknows works beautifully with ChatGPT, and the biggest advantage for me is that Maya already knows me, my communities, my preferences and how I work. In practice, that accumulated context matters far more to me than which logo is on the AI. So I agree with Niklas’s TL;DR: Catknows should work very well with either. I would choose the AI you already know, enjoy and use most. 🐾

@Kaseem Bradley just to add one distinction here: if you're asking which AI is best to use with Catknows, Catknows itself is completely AI-agnostic. 😺 It can work with whichever AI/client you prefer, provided it supports connecting to MCP servers. So Claude vs ChatGPT etc. is really down to your own AI preference rather than a Catknows preference.

That makes complete sense, Niklas 🫡 Catknows already works beautifully, and I think building it when you actually have the time and enjoy doing it is exactly the right way forward. I'm looking forward to seeing where you take the automation side of it. 😎
