Fire Horse is Here! Important Update plus the Vision! Please Read in Full
We just transitioned from the wood snake to the fire horse today! Its time to get moving! I want to update everyone on where we are at. I am currently in Denver, the original place I envisioned the cypher taking place. I had a conversation that opened up the thought of having the cypher on the east coast. (Most rappers I know are based in the east). Im making a poll to see where folks would like the cypher to be ideally. I am teaming up with Emma, the key organizer of Shilajam, to co-produce the Guinness Cypher. With that being said, we decided the Guinness Cypher will carry the name 'Shilajam' over from our incredibly successful event last year, spearheaded by myself & Ron. I am communicating with people interested in creating the council for organization of the Shilajam cypher. We have a squad of superheroes ready to go! Official planning committee members will be announced soon. Once we get our team locked in, we will move into the planning phase. The first step after deciding what location is best, is to get an event space secured. Everything should fall into place after that. Im very excited to get the ball rolling, regardless of where this will take place. I intend to find a way for all planners to be financially compensated for their time and efforts, mostly through a % share system on securing sponsor donations ... more ideas to come. The Vision: 3 Days (or more) straight of cypher, non-stop, live streamed to the world. We will overlay 5 minutes of ads from our sponsors on the stream per hour, but the cypher itself will never stop. The festival will be built around the cypher to support the artists. I envision rappers, singers, beat boxers, musicians, DJs, dancers, hip hoppers of all sorts, and artists of all kinds in a state of constant co-creation. Healers will support the artists. Vendors will provide sustenance. We will be building real community. Workshops will potentially happen on the side if we agree it will be optimal for the festival. Possibly even 'Rap Olympics' mini games! This is basically like Shilajam or any other music festival, except in place of having scheduled acts from artists, the cypher which was exclusively late at night, will be the never-ending main focus of the festival.
