Opinion on the Goatee
It’s been a minute since I shaved, decided today was the day and went with a goatee. I’m not sure whether it looks good or not, I think I may have taken away too much from the middle, but I’m not sure. Went with a 7mm against the grain for the chin hair, didn’t really do anything to the mustache since this is all it grows lol. If you guys have any suggestions to improve please let me know!

@Brian Dang Appreciate it! Yep, I find 7 mm makes it look pretty full without it looking scraggly, and I only line up my mustache from the bottom
Hair Growth
Hey y’all. I’ve been growing my hair out from a 5 guard all around since January - February, I’ve been through once maintenance cut which was just a cleanup and a little layering, and I have about 2 1/2 to 3 inches all around besides my sides which are probably around 2 inches. Is this average hair growth or nah? Because imo, my hair takes impossibly long to grow, like I can keep a fade for like 3 weeks before it starts looking a little outgrown 😭. I’m trying to grow it out into a wolf cut, so I’ll probably need 6-7 inches all around for that. If any of you guys got tips on making it grow faster, do share 😭.

@Joseph Westwell I’ve been feeling my hair falling a lot recently, but my hair doesn’t really even feel that bad. My hair is thick, I can run my hands through it and it feels a little soft (thanks to this new conditioner I got). I don’t use heat instruments, I dry my hair with a cotton towel, but I do it softly while kinda scrunching my hair to dry it. I don’t really use combs or anything to detangle my hair, although I do have a wide tooth comb. I just never saw the use for it, and if I need to comb my hair I usually use my hand’s, gives me better volume, texture, and easier maneuverability in a way that I wouldn’t have with a wide tooth comb. Here is the link to the new shampoo/conditioner I got a few days ago, although the hair falling has been happening long before. https://www.amazon.com/TRESemm%C3%A9-Moisturizing-Conditioner-Professional-Salon-Healthy/dp/B076JK8PXX

@James OHara My mom got this supplement for herself, I asked her if I could use it and she said she didn’t really know and that it was meant for women. You think this would help?

Only real issue I have right now is with how slow my hair is growing. I started growing it out like in like January-February and I’m at 2 1/2 to 3 inches right now. I’m not sure if it’s average growth or not but the wait is killing me man. Is there anything I can do to make it grow faster?? I’m trying to go for a wolf cut, so I’ll need probably about 6-7 inches I think for it to fit that cut’s description.
The Current Hair Niche on Socials 🤔
What’s your opinion on the current hair niche across social media? Is it just me who thinks it’s gone really toxic? Like hate everywhere, loads of misinformation, loads of forced agendas? Like for me it’s a struggle to even go on the app anymore 🤔 From what started as an app to genuinely help guys with their hair has now turnt into an app full of self-indulgence, pride and shaming. All to generate as much views and money as possible by keeping you guys insecure. Is it just me who’s noticed this shift?

Something I find both funny and sad is that the video thumbnails always have some anime dude on them, sharp jawline, medium length hair and the title will always be something like "How to make ALL girls AND their boyfriends into you". They then proceed to tell you to wash your hair with apple sauce and use bananas as deodorant. They speak with so much confidence it's hard to tell if they're doing this for money or are just plain stupid 😭. Apparently all hair is the same to them. Pathetic honestly, and 13 year old me probably would've fell for this too.. I honestly just don't even bother with those videos anymore, knowing that I as a 15 year old have way more knowledge and am just wasting my time with cash grabs like these.
Pomade Suggestions
Hey y’all, I’ve been growing my hair out for a couple of months and it’s reached around 2 and a half inches all around, and I’ve been thinking to rock a sort of messy slickback sort of style with some hairs falling on the front till it gets long enough to do middle/side parts. Also my hair physically can’t slick back because of its thickness so it’d probably look like a brushback. I’m looking for a wet look with decent hold, and am completely clueless on what pomades to go for. I was thinking to go with based at first but they’re $30 for only 3 ounces, and I think they’re probably a bit overhyped lol. My max budget would probably be $20 - $25 (depending on the quantity of product). I’d also appreciate some styling tips, like how often I can use it and when/how to wash it off.

@Joseph Westwell Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve never heard of reuzel or uppercut before so I’ll be sure to check them out

@James OHara I’ve been fighting the urge to get based for a while now lol, I did think a lot of times it was overpriced. And their target audience is high schoolers after all, who knows, I might check them out in the future. Thanks for the suggestions!
