Don’t Confuse the Waiting Room With the Destination
“Just because nothing appears to be moving does not mean nothing is being prepared.” The Diagnosis There are seasons in life when you have done everything you know to do, yet there is still no visible evidence of what comes next. You have released what needed to be released, accepted the ending of a previous chapter, changed your thinking, and made room for something new. You expected that once you created the space, the next opportunity would immediately appear. Instead, you found yourself waiting. Waiting can become one of the most psychologically challenging parts of transformation because we often associate movement with progress. If something is happening, we feel productive. If doors are opening, we feel validated. If people are responding, opportunities are appearing, and circumstances are changing, we assume that our lives are moving in the right direction. When those external confirmations disappear, however, we can quickly begin questioning decisions we were once certain about. This is where people sometimes sabotage their own growth. The discomfort of uncertainty becomes so great that they would rather return to something familiar than remain available for something unknown. They revisit relationships they already knew were unhealthy, reconsider environments they had outgrown, accept opportunities that don't truly align with them, or create unnecessary movement simply because stillness feels too much like stagnation. But being still and being stuck are not the same thing. A seed beneath the ground appears inactive to the person standing above the soil, but beneath the surface an entire process is occurring. The seed is breaking, roots are developing, and life is organizing itself long before anything becomes visible. By the time you see evidence above ground, the process has already been happening for some time. Visibility was never the beginning; visibility was simply the revelation of what had already begun. The Prescription This week's prescription is to stop measuring progress only by what you can currently see. There are forms of growth that cannot be photographed, announced, monetized, or immediately explained. Sometimes the greatest evidence of progress is that you no longer respond the way you once responded. You have developed patience where there was once impulsivity, discernment where there was once desperation, boundaries where there was once people-pleasing, or peace where there was once constant anxiety about what would happen next.

My problem is being way too comfortable in the waiting room.😭 I’m getting ready to give birth, and I don’t have all my baby supplies together, and parts of me is stuck procrastinating on what to do once my new life is birthed. 😮‍💨 This is me admitting so I can hold myself accountable, get myself together and GET UP! 💪🏽🙂‍↕️
Genesis 1:1–5: The Architecture of Becoming
What if Genesis 1 is more than the story of how the world began? What if it also reveals a pattern for how consciousness, purpose, and possibility move from the unseen into expression? In this teaching, Dr. Joshua D. Mills explores Genesis 1:1–5 through an Aramaic and Semitic lens, uncovering layers of etymology, psychology, philosophy, metaphysics, and quantum-physics analogy. We examine the movement from tohu va-bohu—the formless and unstructured—to Spirit moving, the Word being spoken, light appearing, and order emerging. Through the ASCEND Framework—Actualization, Stimulation, Cultivation, Execution, Navigation, and Demonstration—we discover Genesis as an architecture of becoming: a pattern showing how potential is awakened, consciousness is illuminated, intention becomes action, and the invisible takes visible form. The central revelation is simple: being unformed does not mean being empty. Chaos may be possibility awaiting structure. Darkness may be what has not yet been illuminated. And creation begins when what is within you is awakened, articulated, ordered, and demonstrated. This is Genesis beyond the surface. This is creation as consciousness. This is the journey from potential to manifestation.

I appreciate this conversation. I have found that there is beauty in the dark. It’s not about the dark, but your perception, night will happen, just because it does doesn’t mean you are stripped of your own inner light, and learning how to cultivate light in the midst of darkness is a necessary skill. Even if you cannot mustard up the strength within yourself, it’s important to still be able to know there is always a light at the end of tunnel. Mind over matter. I have been learning to balance my own darkness recognizing it is still me, and valuable when used appropriately.
No Bible Studies Tonight
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ascended Bible Studies will not meet tonight. I also want everyone to know that all is well—there is no cause for concern. Sometimes life simply requires us to adjust the schedule. Use this evening as an opportunity to rest, reflect, and revisit some of our previous sessions. The replays are available, and there is plenty of revelation to go back and sit with again. Sometimes what we heard before speaks differently when we hear it from where we are now. We’ll be back together next Tuesday at 8:00 PM EST for Ascended Bible Studies. Come ready to think deeper, see differently, and continue our journey of revelation together. Thank you for your understanding, your prayers, and your continued support of this community. All is well. We ASCEND from here. — Dr. Joshua D. Mills Author | Speaker | Composer

Sonship Beyond Validation: When Your Life Becomes the Evidence
John 5:31–47 What happens when you no longer need the approval of people or institutions to validate what the Father has already established within you? I n John 5:31–47, Jesus brings His revelation of Sonship to a powerful conclusion by confronting validation, recognition, religious systems, Scripture, identity, and the evidence of a transformed life. Through an Aramaic and historical Semitic lens, this teaching explores the deeper meaning of witness, glory, honor, knowing, and testimony, revealing the difference between being validated by people and confirmed by fruit. Jesus presents multiple witnesses to His identity—John the Baptist, His works, the Father, the Scriptures, and Moses—yet exposes a religious system that possessed tremendous information about God while struggling to recognize God’s activity unfolding before them. Using the ASCEND Framework—Actualization, Stimulation, Cultivation, Execution, Navigation, and Demonstration—we examine how Sonship moves from internal identity to external evidence. We also uncover the psychological danger of approval addiction, the philosophical difference between the symbol and the reality it represents, and the political power of institutions to control people by controlling who is considered legitimate. This teaching challenges us to stop asking: “Will they validate who I am?” and begin asking: “Does my life bear witness to what I say I have become?” Because mature Sonship does not spend its existence demanding recognition. Source establishes identity. Alignment governs action. Works produce fruit. Fruit becomes witness. And eventually—your life becomes the evidence. You don't need applause to become what Source has already established.

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom! I was raised as a Jehovah witness, they teach not to go outside of their information for answers, this did not sit right with me. Ever since I left the organization, I’ve been in search of my true God. I did not trust the bible for a long time, due to how often it seemed to be altered in the organization. I went to God as a lost child realizing I was lied to, and truly knew nothing of the vast power of God. I started studying business, and marketing to work on my foundation of understanding how to become an entrepreneur. There I saw the different ways man manipulated, and took advantage of people, through the different techniques to capture their mind, into buying whatever they are selling, rather it be an idea, or a product. This made me realize how easily swayed people are. From here I realized the seed being sown of the 7 sins, so casually being put everywhere, in small doses, discretely, today it is now everywhere you turn. I am not a church going woman, I am a child of God in search of answers, and resolutions ready to adapt as God sees fit for my life, to speak life, and truth over his people, and bring them to Christ.
