Hey everyone, I’m new here and thought I’d say hello.
I’m working on becoming a better and more consistent writer, and one of the reasons I joined this community was to connect with other authors who are figuring things out too. I’m interested in sharing ideas, talking about what’s working, being honest about the parts that are difficult, and learning from each other along the way. I just enjoy conversations about writing and the process behind it. What’s something you’ve been struggling with in your writing lately?

@Kate Golden thank you 😊
Hi 👋 I'm new
Hi, I'm Sarah. I recently joined the group. I'm all about community, providing feedback and accountability as well as discussing with others about their work. Currently writing is a hobby, so I'm not planing on self-publishing or publishing anytime soon. I'm looking forward to improving my writing and helping others in anyway I can. — Sarah St-Jean

@Paul Cole Any continuity errors i made before i planned everything how i wanted it to happen. Example if a student of my boarding school is sitting at the house table of the element they're not supposed to, stuff like that.

@Mary Dowling thanks Mary 😊
WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES?
Most writers don’t struggle because they lack ideas. They struggle because they’ve been staring at the same manuscript for so long that they can no longer see what’s working and what’s weakening the story. Sometimes the pacing feels off but you can’t explain why. Sometimes the dialogue sounds right in your head but flat on the page. Sometimes you know a chapter is missing something, but you can’t identify it. That’s a normal part of the writing process. I’m curious: What’s been the hardest part of writing your current book? Is it: • pacing • character development • consistency • editing • finishing the manuscript • self-doubt • publishing • something else entirely? Writers, drop your biggest challenge below. I’d love to hear what stage you’re currently navigating.

My challenge is book structure, I write in a certain way and I'm not sure if how I write is written how a book would be written. I'm still writing as a hobby so it isn't that important to me at the moment, but it's one of my challenges. Also brainstorming on my own without help is also difficult.
