My favorite meditation by The Honest Guys
Hey, I wanted to share my absolute favorite meditation by the honest guys. It amps me up every time I tune in!!! I recommend playing it with headphones on. Feel free to turn it up a bit. You can watch if you like - it’s less than five minutes! Enjoy!
A little moment of joy: guided meditation
Hi, I just wanted to share the meditation from tonight group with you- I hope we all can remember to breathe and take time to connect with ourselves. A Little Moment of Joy- by Sarah I want to invite you into a little moment of joy. Not a big moment. Not something you have to create or force. Just a small moment that belongs completely to you. Take a slow breath… and allow yourself to arrive right where you are. Imagine, for just a few minutes, that nothing is required of you. There is nowhere you have to be. Nothing you have to fix. Nothing you have to explain. Nothing you need to accomplish. Just this moment. Now imagine yourself somewhere that feels beautiful to you. It can be somewhere you’ve actually been… somewhere you would love to go… or somewhere that exists completely in your imagination. Take a moment to look around. What do you see? Maybe there is sunlight coming through the trees. Maybe you’re sitting beside the ocean. Maybe you’re surrounded by flowers. Maybe you’re somewhere cozy and warm, wrapped in a blanket with a cup of something you love. Maybe you’re somewhere completely unexpected. There is no wrong place to be. Just let yourself notice the details. Notice the colors. Notice the light. Notice the air around you. What can you hear? Maybe there is water. Maybe there are birds. Maybe there is music. Maybe there is simply quiet. And now notice what you can feel. Maybe the warmth of the sun on your skin. Maybe the softness of a blanket. Maybe your feet resting on the ground. Maybe an animal beside you. Just notice. And now, somewhere in this little place you’ve created, I want you to find one small thing that brings you joy. It doesn’t have to be a huge feeling. It might be something incredibly simple. A beautiful color. The smell of flowers. The sound of water. A favorite song. The feeling of being outside. A warm cup in your hands. A familiar face. A beloved animal. Whatever it is… just let yourself experience it for a moment. You don’t have to hold onto it.

🌿 “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” — Maya Angelou Hello strong women- Just wanted to check in and say that I’m really looking forward to connecting with you all this evening and having the opportunity to lead you through a little guided meditation and some breath work. I do want to offer a quick disclaimer before we begin: I’m not specially trained in meditation facilitation or breathwork. What I’ll be sharing tonight is simply something I personally enjoy and find helpful when I’m feeling low, overwhelmed, or just need a little space to settle myself. So please take what feels good for you and leave anything that doesn’t. You are always in charge of your own experience. I also expect tonight may feel a little different from the way Helen or Jade’ typically leads group, and that’s completely okay. 😊 I’m really looking forward to creating our own little space together. We’ll begin with a few minutes of gentle box breathing, followed by a short guided visualization called A Little Moment of Joy. During that portion, please feel free to turn your camera off, get yourself cozy, wrap up in a blanket, lie down on the sofa, or simply close your eyes and listen. You can also keep your camera on and participate however feels most comfortable for you. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. I want to make sure everyone receives the care, respect, and support they deserve while also having plenty of space to share. I’m really excited — and honestly, honored — to support Helen while she’s traveling and to have you guys trust me with holding this space. So come with an open heart, an open mind, and be ready to breathe, share, listen, and simply be wherever you are tonight. 🌿💛 I’m looking forward to connecting with you all this evening. Talk soon! -S
Asking your advice on the group rules
Hey everyone, I wanted to ask your advice on any group rules you think we should add. I'm open to any suggestions and would appreciate your insight! 1. Confidentiality: Please take these meetings in private locations or wear headphones. Since this is a women's support group, no men should be present. 2. Keep shares under 5 minutes. If you're someone who shares often, be mindful of leaving space for others. 3. Don't give advice unless someone explicitly asks for it. 4. Maintain boundaries around connecting outside of the group and giving our personal information.

My favorite rules in this are #1 and #4.
ADHD
Are the ADHD tests online accurate? Are the tests psychiatrists give you the same as the online tests? I did two online tests, and they indicate that I have ADHD. I do not have the insurance or money to see a therapist or psychiatrist. Self-pay is $350.00 for the initial visit and $150.00 for each visit thereafter, as of 4 years ago+. I don't trust a therapist or psychiatrist when seeing them. The therapist didn't do any tests, but stated to my insurance company that I have PTSD. The psychiatrist ignored me when I told him that I didn't want the meds. I wanted to feel my emotions, not cover them up. I also didn't want them due to the potential weight gain and depression it would cause (I had lost previous weight gain, and was extremely delighted with that).

Kristina, see if you can find a free clinic in your area. when they assessed me for ADHD the first time (10 years ago) it was a lot of tests in person with a psychiatrist I was working with for therapy already and they also looked back at my grade school education records. The second testing I had ( 2024 ) was done by a neuropsychologist who specialize in Autism spectrum disorder and it took us about six months to get through all of the test. She had one of my close friends do an assessment about me as well. her findings were a lot more thorough not only did she confirm I have ADHD but she identified it as inattentive. she also unveiled autism and a couple of other things that have to do with my neuropsychological health. in Terms of insurance …!if you don’t have enough money to afford health insurance privately - apply through the marketplace,(healthcare.gov) the system will automatically redirect to your states medical assistance program if your income does not meet the bare minimum criteria and if it’s slightly over, they’ll give you a gigantic stipend towards paying for it on the marketplace. . I know this because since having a llc, the marketplace keeps redirecting me back to medical assistance, cause I haven’t made enough of a profit to warrant me being able to afford health insurance independently. While I think online test can be helpful, Ih having a professional. I hope you complete the accurate assessments needed. I spent a lot of time not believing I had ADHD and needed the official diagnosis to prove it. also so many of the symptoms, cross paths with many different things including PTSD and several other diagnoses in the DSM. Even though I’ve had the diagnosis for 10 plus years- sometimes I don’t believe however now after two doctors assessed me, I have finally accepted reality. I utilize the tools that are out there to help me and I’ve been off of ADHD medication for a little over a year now. Probably the biggest thing that’s helped me manage my ADHD symptoms is Yoga and mindfulness. (funny thing is they are the same things that help me manage my CPTSD)
