L1 Homework: Write your own definition of an AI agent
Watch the lesson first, then come back here. Your job: 1. Write your one-sentence definition of an AI agent. Use the four verbs from the lesson: perceive, plan, act, observe. Do not copy mine. Build your own version. 2. Read two other definitions in the comments. Find one edge case their definition does not handle. Reply to them with it. 3. Use the template below to structure your answer. Copy and paste it into your reply. I will read every definition posted here and push back on the interesting ones. What is the hardest part of this definition to get right?

An AI agent is a goal-directed system that perceives its context, plans steps toward an objective, acts through tools, and observes the results to decide its next move choosing what to do next instead of running a fixed script.

@Ewan Park Good one, but "acts to change that environment" excludes read-only agents. A research or monitoring agent perceives, calls tools, observes, and loops toward a goal without ever changing anything it only reads. The defining act is using a tool, not mutating state.
I uploaded a new demo: 6 AI agents reviewing a SaaS codebase in 90 seconds
I just uploaded a new YouTube video for the community. In this demo, I show how the SaaS Roast Agent reviews a real SaaS codebase using 6 AI agents. One agent scans the project. Five specialist agents review it in parallel: authentication tenant isolation security database performance architecture Then a final synthesis agent combines everything into one Launch Readiness Report. The report gives: โ†’ launch score out of 100 โ†’ category-level scores โ†’ critical issues โ†’ security risks โ†’ database and architecture problems โ†’ practical 7-day fix plan The idea is simple: Founders, indie hackers, and vibe coders are building faster than ever. But fast shipping without review can create dangerous production bugs. This agent helps you move fast without blindly launching risky SaaS code. Built with Python, FastAPI, and the official Claude SDK. Just Claude SDK, structured prompts, tools, and a practical multi-agent workflow. Watch here https://youtu.be/fsE-XLm1yxI After watching, tell me this: Would you use an AI agent like this before launching your own SaaS project?

I will start with vibe coding any simple page and share it here
Quietly reading and learning here
Been reading a lot over the past few days, especially the failure-story posts (Priya's CrewAI typo, the overbuilt summarizer post). Honestly easier to learn from those than from happy-path tutorials. Anyone else find the failure stories more useful than the polished wins?
