Marketing Tip #2
- Work on your PR and media kit, what is your message, motivation, relevance? Knowing this makes a huge difference. It undermines everything we do and how we show up in the world. Have you heard of Simon Sinek? Look him up for all that he's researched and shared about knowing our WHY. I've mentioned him here before but he's a big influence on my own path. It helps me to know what my core values are, what drives me, and that makes it easier to explain my work to others as well as for myself. Sinek writes: "The neocortex corresponds to the 'what' level. This part of the brain is responsible for rational and analytical thought and language. The middle two sections comprise the limbic brain, and are responsible for all of our feelings, like trust and loyalty. It is also responsible for all human behavior and all decision-making, but it has no capacity for language. When we communicate from the outside in, when we start with 'what', yes, people can understand vast amounts of complicated information... but it doesn't drive behavior." So, tell us in the comments below what is the message, motivation and relevance of your community/ work?

NOMAD/ About pages
Hey team, did you see or read about the Skool news and recommendations for our About pages? Kirby described the NOMAD framework. I'm not into AI lists and the such as he does but the concept sticks for me. N= niche. O=outcomes, M=methods, how I can help, A=authority, why trust me, and D=deliverables (American for results). Does your page follow that clarity of purpose? Make it easy to understand? Share your links if that's okay and let's see if we are as clear as we think we are!

The Live Better podcast explains some ic this: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/feel-better-live-more-with-dr-rangan-chatterjee/id1333552422?i=1000766196880 I find it fascinating as well as being a good reminder to myself as to why I host my group here.
Finish that Book!
Have you started a novel or a memoir and it’s just lingering, you don’t know what to do with it? Or have you finished a first draft and are ready to do a close edit and send it out? Needing help? Well, creativity thrives in community, right? And I host a small intimate cohort of writers and creators on Skool. Here’s what a couple of members wrote recently in the chat there. KIM “Thanks, Sarah! Helpful comments. That will speed the revision a lot to know where to focus, where to trim. I tend to leave out important things--on the first draft, at least!” TREY “The concept of seasons and their relationship to creativity is something I’ve never thought about before. Upon reflection, fall seems to be when I dig into writing the most. It’ll be interesting to pay attention to this relationship between seasons and creativity.” So I’m writing this today to show you that you can finish your project and on your own terms. Let’s develop and hone your individual voice and style, build characters and landscapes, play with tension and release, add elements and expand your vocabulary (not just the words but the craft and skills), and consider the range of options for structure within novels and hybrid memoirs. In this writing and creativity group, I post questions and assignments to spark your curiousity about what you do and why. They build upon each other or you can drop in and out - which is what most members do. There you go, I hope it helps!

Feeling stuck?
The process of moving a creative project from concept to completion often needs the help of an outsider perspective. Whether you are revising a full length manuscript, short story, structuring a course, or working on how to get your art and words out into the world, let me know. I'm offering a bit of professional mentorship on your current projects. This beta-test offers a quick 'fix' alternative to my comprehensive 1:1 coaching program, brainstorming together ways to get through any creative blocks and carry on with more confidence. Anyway, I wanted to offer this in case it helps you. Cheers!
