The treatment in between treatments
Oftentimes patients will tell me they felt great after their treatment but a couple days later their symptoms returned, what do we advise them to do to maintain relief? This is why it's so important to get a complete history and intake from them, develop trust. If there are things they are doing that are contributing to the imbalances, excesses and deficiencies, then it becomes easier to guide them into not doing those things. Giving patients tips about what they can do/not do at home is in our best interest for long-lasting results. For example, someone with digestive issues, diet is so important, not just what they eat, but how they eat it. Making sure they understand that cold raw foods are harder to digest, using up much of the stomach and qi before the food can even be transformed into nutrients. Drinking room temp or warmer beverages can be the first step in healing the Gastrointestinal issues they are suffering from. If patients don't know, they don't grow.

New Acupuncturists
Newly Licensed Acupuncturists — Now What? You graduated. You passed boards. 🎉And now you’re staring at the big question no one really prepared you for: “What do I do next?” School taught you how to pass exams and how to treat patients. What it didn’t teach you is how to actually build a life and career as an acupuncturist. That’s where I come in. I teach the things that don’t fit neatly into a syllabus: - How to get licensed in the state you actually want to practice in (and navigate the paperwork, timelines, and common mistakes) - How to open a practice without burning out or going broke - How to find the right job (not just any job) if employment is your path - How to transition from student to confident practitioner - How to choose and build a specialty instead of trying to treat everyone - How to think like a clinician and a professional If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure which direction to take—you’re not behind. You’re exactly where most new acupuncturists are… even if no one is talking about it. You don’t need more theory. You need mentorship, real-world strategy, and guidance through the steps that actually matter. If you’re ready to learn what school didn’t teach you—and step into practice with clarity and confidence—I’d love to teach you. ✨ The next phase of your career starts now.
