5 contributions to AI Prompting Basic Training
Roots before Flowers
🧠 The goal here is to build a strong foundation when it comes to AI. Think of this like learning to drive a car in the parking lot before you are trying to navigate an unfamiliar city center with pedestrians and one ways. Once you nail the basics, your growth in the AI space will be exponential. 🧠 For reference, my baby sister spent 30 minutes a day for 10/14 days with The Professor and can prompt better than most adults I know with professional jobs who claim to “know how to use AI.” 🧠 I read her entire conversation with The Professor and there wasn’t anything special or complex. She just kept asking questions about things she wanted to know until she had all the information she needed. ❓ So what’s the point? Learning the basics will get you farther, faster than trying to skip right to the “fun stuff”. 🚫 Or don’t, I’m just a stranger on the internet with a little experience and a lot of love :)

You are now, officially, my personal Professor and Tutor. Sorry, it comes without pay and I'm neither rich nor famous! ;) You're da man, @Porter Anderson . I hope to see this community grow into the preeminent School for Mastery for those who want to learn "just the basics" of AI. And, what you've created is utterly unique on this platform.
This is the best course on Prompt Engineering I have encountered.
I have come to see that this will work well if one is ready to put in the work. I'm pleasantly shocked at the level of detail "The Professor" goes into to make sure I understand what I'm being taught. Still waiting to see what "The Tutor" teaches. This is not something to breeze through. I'm sure there are many talented people who can do it in far less time. But I think I'll need at least 6 months to achieve Mastery in "Just the Basics." Not expertise. Mastery!

@Porter Anderson thank you! It is what I've been searching for ever since I began my journey. Too much noise out there. It doesn't help towards Mastery nor expertise for that matter.

- 1 hour with the professor (4 x 15 min sessions) to get used to talking with ChatGPT and learn the first steps to making a good prompt. - Try some of the medium exercises. Yes, the medium exercises. If these are too complex, you can start with the easy exercises to build your skills and confidence. - Get some feedback from The Tutor on what you did well, and what you can do better. Feel free to ask follow-up questions and have a conversation with The Tutor. - Once you’re done, take what you’ve learned and move on to another exercise. - I have hundreds of exercises, and posted the most universally applicable ones to keep things simple. If you want one specifically for your role, industry, passion, etc, shoot me a DM or make a post and I’ll get some to you. - All of this is designed to mimic how I learned in college. My staff doesn’t sleep or need a salary, so I can offer their services to you for the great low price of free .99! For now 😉

Thanks. I know this will require some work. Mastery always does. The idea of the Professor and the Tutor is brilliant!
Welcome! Here's a Quick Tour of the Place!
Classroom - In the classroom tab, you have access to the Professor, the Tutor, all the practice exercises, and the answer key. - The Professor is a version of ChatGPT designed to teach you how to prompt. In the spirit of honesty, I built it because I didn't want to sit down and crank out videos. - The Tutor is a version of ChatGPT designed to help you with the exercises and give you feedback once you've completed them. - The exercises are exactly what you think they are 😂. They're designed to give you a chance to use what you've learned from the Professor. Community - General discussion --> Not meant to have much structure. Share your AI creations, ideas, introduce yourself, etc. - Exercises & Feedback --> This is the best place to share your completed exercises and get feedback from your peers instead of a robot 🤖 - Fun --> Let's fill this with jokes, memes, and other silly stuff! There are children in here, so please keep it appropriate. This community is meant to be a place you can come and learn at your own pace. Let's have some fun and hopefully learn a thing or two! :)

@Porter Anderson , will give back as I can. Let's keep the flame burning! 🙏👊🙌
A Reminder
Hello family, I'm so grateful you are here. At the moment, this community is self-paced. You can work as fast or as slow as you want. I am working on a more interactive format. Please remember that learning something new will take some time and effort. I am here to support you. The best way to learn is to work with The Professor and learn the basics, and then try some of the exercises. Start with the "medium" exercises. The "easy" exercises are SUPER easy and might bore you. If you read this far, hit the like button and comment your favorite color!
