@Rolon Krumrine yes I do believe Border Collie’s are the smartest of all breeds! They use them a lot for hurding sheep and other animals. They’re just not as strong as German shepherds. German shepherds aren’t too far behind them in smarts however, I would still say from what I’m hearing that German shepherds are much easier to train and I think that’s why police and military use them and if they don’t use them, they will use Belgian Malinois! I’ve never had a border collie myself, but I have friends that do and I do see that they are very smart. But I also see that there are things that my dog can do that and easily trained more than their dogs so it depends what it is like what you’re trying to train them for but both dogs are definitely working dogs and they need to be stimulated or they can easily destroy the house.
