when reddit actually does a thing:
I KNOWW reddit is FAR from a reliable forum 😂, but you'd be surprised what kinds of links/resources brothers and sisters on there (r/Islam) are able to provide. --I recently came across a thread about hadith(s) where a fellow user recommended "Nur Institute" that offers recommendations on different books to read, reflections of the Quran, and scholarship. For someone who's more of a visual learner, I thought this might be very helpful!! TONS of audio and videos provided, so there's no excuse as to how/why we're not consistently engaging in Islam & wanting to strengthen our Imaan 🎧💪😤 check 'em out!! I listen to this while I'm cooking: https://nurinstitute.com/ https://soundcloud.com/Nurinstitute

@Ryan Ghost hmm🤔 there's nafl (voluntary) prayers such as Tahajjud, Duhaa, Istikhara (etc.) that are ALL beneficial in reward. --TBH I think praying Salah tho 👀 are truly part of the "prayer of need" as a Muslim. Aside from being Fardh (obligatory as a pillar of Islam), that is literally your "ticket" to your akhira (Hereafter) and closeness to Allah (swt). Jazakallah Khair, Barakallahu Feek. May Allah make it easy for you, and grant you goodness 🤲🏽✨️ Ameen
Fajr and Isha timings in the summer
I'm sure many of you may be facing this as well but I live in New York so Isha starts at 10:33 PM and Fajr starts at 3:53 AM which leaves me with only 4 hours and 45 minutes to sleep which makes waking up for Fajr very challenging oftentimes causing me to wake up 30 minutes to an hour after the start and barely get Fajr in before sunrise or just missing it all together. I heard that it is permissible to pray Isha right after Maghrib as long as you go to sleep right after which for me is at 8:49 pm from Shiekh Assim Alhakeem but I've also heard other opinions that it is better to just pray Isha at the mandated time and then wake up for Fajr before sunrise but not at the start. What do you guys think about this?

Assalamualaikum akhi. I would recommend (in spite of initially sounding counter-productive at first) building the practice of waking up for Qiyam/ Tahajjud. While easier said than done (again, at first), you gain major spiritual benefits by waking up early for the sake of Allah (swt), and Insha'Allah eventually won't have to worry about nearly/missing Fajr; as you would've done your wudu + offered at least 2-3 rakat, having you ready to go for the day. Praying the mandated salat, especially the one that starts our day, Alhamdulilah, is a HUGE DEAL!! It's a literal Pillar in Islam! --Try out some tahajjud sometime, Insha'Allah! Who wouldn't want some "quiet hour" with our Creator in the wee-early hours of the morning, WHILE gaining rewards through our efforts? Allah doesn't expect perfection, it's all in our Intention that counts. May Allah make it easy for you, and all of us in this Ummah facing similar struggles, Ameen 🤲🏽✨
