how you can sell your books on amazon
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced as an author isn’t just the writing, it’s the selling. You can pour your heart into a manuscript, but when it doesn’t move the way you hoped, it can be discouraging. What I’ve learned, though, is that selling isn’t just about numbers. It’s about connection. When I shifted from ā€œselling a bookā€ to ā€œsharing a storyā€ with the right audience, things started to change. I began focusing on building relationships with readers, engaging in genuine conversations, and positioning my work where it naturally resonates. I also invest time in refining my pitch, learning marketing basics, and being consistent—even when results are slow. For me, persistence and community are the keys to overcoming the lows. At the end of the day, the lack of immediate sales doesn’t mean the story has no value. It just means I have to keep finding better ways to reach the people who need it most.
Are you still sitting with that unfinished manuscript?
Fellow writers - can we talk about the elephant in the room? We all start books with fire in our bellies. That 2 AM idea that has us typing like maniacs, already planning our book launch party. Then chapter three, four or five hits. The excitement dies. The beautiful beginning feels like false advertising for the mess we're creating. This is what I've learned from writers who actually reach "The End": - They write terrible first drafts (and don't care) - They show up even when inspiration doesn't - They aim for 200 messy words, not 2,000 perfect ones - They find their tribe The secret isn't having the perfect plot. It's accepting that your first draft will be garbage - and writing it anyway. Who else is wrestling with the dreaded middle right now? Let's support each other through it. What's your biggest writing challenge? Drop it in the comments below šŸ‘‡

Oh, I feel this so much! For me, the biggest challenge is pushing through when the excitement fades and the ā€œmessy middleā€ feels impossible. As a scriptwriter, I’ve learned to give myself permission to write badly first and shape it later, it’s the only way the story actually moves forward. Showing up daily, even for a few lines, really does build momentum
