Realistic Goals
One of my biggest advices is to set realistic goals. Aiming high is good but aiming too high is setting yourself up for disappointment which leads to demotivation which can lead to stopping altogether. I believe every Muslim should aim to memorise and can memorise 1 juz of the Quran, most likely juz 30 due to the short surahs it contains and how often they are recited. When I began my journey, I didn't even intend to memorise the entire Quran. I just though let's memorise a few smaller Surah's and see how it goes. Then as you memorise more you grow in confidence. Set small milestones eg. Memorise surah Alaa or memorise surah Naba or memorise surah Mulk. Then as you hit these targets, set more. Stretch further. Before you know it you will have memorised 1 juz, 3 juz, 5 juz and more in sha Allah.

Duas for Qur'an Competition
Assalamu alaykum. I joined the zoom with Ustadh Sanaan two weeks ago and he gave feedback on my recitation for a Quran Competition I was preparing for in Dallas. I applied his recommendations. Alhamdulillah here is the result: 📢📢 ANNOUNCEMENT 📢 ⭐️Alhamdulillah! Barak Allahu feekum to all the sisters who participated in the Quran Competition. ⭐️May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala reward each one of you for every letter you recited and for your efforts in participating in the competition. May He accept it from all of you. ⭐️Masha Allah, thanks to the dedication of our judges, we were able to announce the results. ✨ 5 participants out of 10 will proceed to the Final Round of the competition. Mabrook to: 1. Sumaiyah Shihipar 2. Alaa Mubarak 3. Sadia Majumdar 4. Jamillah Karim 5. Najeeba Abdu Masha Allah, sisters! May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala make the final round easy for you. Please make dua for me. The final round is this Sunday. Jazakum Allah Khayran Ustadh Sanaan for your help.

@Jamillah Karim apologies just saw this now. Ma sha Allah that’s great news. May Allah accept your efforts and it’s now the perfect month to keep that momentum going. Hifdh is all about momentum so keep moving forwards a little bit every day. If you need any more help or advise feel free to reach out.

This community will be closing brothers and sisters in just 3 days on Sunday 11th May. So if this sounds like you and you've had enough of not making progress for years with your memorisation, then you need to join! 💠What will we be covering in our weekly LIVE calls?💠 Week 1: Memorisation – we will cover all the essentials as well as our technique Week 2: Memorisation – we will cover all the essentials as well as our technique Week 3: How to revise Quran using our technique? IMPORTANT - We are closing/moving over!
Brothers and Sisters, we are moving over to our new and improved community and closing this one down from 12th May 2025. WHY THE SWITCH⁉️ In short, we want to offer the best service to those who actually need our help. We want to filter out the serious students from the non-serious. As you know this community has been FREE which has pros and cons the main con being all sorts of people join some of whom aren’t even interested in memorising the Quran. If you’re not ready to commit 30 minutes a day to the Quran then we won’t be able to help you - we can only help you if you help yourself. We can only commit to you if you commit to us. WHAT'S INSIDE THE NEW COMMUNITY ❔ 👉 LIVE Weekly Memorisation Support/Memorisation Demonstrations/ Group Recitation/Motivation/Tajweed Sessions and more (see below for schedule breakdown) 👉 Access to our “Mindset, Motivations and Crucial Conditions” Quran Course and future modules 👉 Get assigned a Quran buddy from the community 👉 Regular check-ups/accountability so you stay on track and progress 👉 1-1 free memorisation planning session/consultation with me – (if selected) 👉 Q/A support - via both Sanaan and the community 👉JOIN THE COMMUNITY:👉 https://www.skool.com/quranic-ascent-school-6732/about?ref=a484ddaf20b34053afe1dd543fe56cae WHAT WILL WE BE COVERING IN LIVE CALLS ❔ 💠WEEK 1: Memorisation Support – step by step walk through and demonstration on how to memorise using our proven technique 💠WEEK 2: Memorisation Support – covering essentials related to memorisation, where to memorise from, when to memorise, useful tips 💠WEEK 3: Revision Support - How to revise Quran using our technique? We don’t expect everyone to memorise the Quran. Not at all. Rather set some smaller goals first like memorise some shorter Surahs then memorise Juz 30 etc. Step by step. All levels are welcome so long as one has some fluency in reciting the Quran.

@Sayfur Rahman there’s 1 live class a week currently. Depending on student preference/my availability it will either be on Wednesday or Sunday evenings UK timings approx 7.15pm. There is also the Quran Buddy revision for those who wish to have a partner to revise with. This can be as often as you want.
