Join Me for the World Watercolor Challenge!
This July, I'm slowing down and painting my way through the World Watercolor Challenge—not just to create beautiful paintings, but to use watercolor as a tool for self-regulation, mindfulness, and nervous system care. In our first video, we're exploring: 🌊 Day 1 – Unplugged 🎨Day 2 – Language 🕯Day 3 – Retreat Together, we'll learn how to: ✨ Turn simple prompts into meaningful artwork ✨ Find ideas when you feel creatively stuck ✨ Connect watercolor with emotional wellbeing and self-reflection ✨ Use five minutes of painting to bring more calm into your day This isn't about painting perfectly. It's about noticing what comes up, trusting your imagination, and creating from where you are.

Flowers
I did the first flowers lesson from the classroom With my neocolor 2 (50th anniversary pop set) and I love how they turned out. Drawing the flowers was so fluid and relaxing but the crayons forced a lot of effort, so next time maybe I’ll use paint. It’s just easier to work with solid media from my chair area. I’ve been in a pretty bad flare over a week, my husband is out of town and I’ve been art starved!

Becca, these are absolutely beautiful! 🌸 The colors feel so vibrant and joyful, and I love how you made the flowers your own with the Neocolor II crayons. I’m glad the process felt fluid and relaxing, even if the crayons required a bit more effort than expected. One of the wonderful things about art journaling is adapting the materials to meet our needs in the moment. Paint sounds like a great option for your next session. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with such a difficult flare and feeling art-starved. Thank you for giving yourself this creative time despite everything that’s going on. Your page radiates warmth, energy, and resilience. 💛 Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us!
