What Would You Remove If You Started Over Today?
I’m new here, so I’ll start with a question I’ve been thinking about. If you had to rebuild your one-person business from scratch tomorrow, what’s one thing you wouldn’t put back? Not because it failed—but because you now realize you only do it because “that’s how this kind of business is done.” A tool? A service? A type of client? Content? Meetings? A sales step? Something you personally handle? I’m curious about the things that still work, but maybe shouldn’t exist anymore.

Welcome to the group! In this past year I have been just removing all the clutter from my business, so great question! So many unused apps, website domains, services etc. I still have Google Workspace, MailerLite for email, Canva, Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions, Descript, Nuelink and ManyChat. But I think I’ll remove MailerLite next because Skool has almost everything you need to run an online business 😁 If I would start now, I would select first Instagram or YouTube as my main platform. If I was thinking about also using ads to grow, I would choose Instagram. And then when the business is producing real profits, add YouTube. Give all the info I know for free and invite them to join my community. Make an offer that has a clear outcome that is measurable. Like “Get Your First Client in 90 Days. For (INSERT IDEAL CLIENT).” Create a Skool community around that offer. One module, maybe 10 lessons, clear step by step to achieve that outcome. Second module with all the tools, templates, AI prompts etc. to achieve that faster. Then offer weekly calls or personal help to get them real results faster, plus this way the price can be higher. And try not to add anything else other than Meta ads on a small budget and just get results for my clients and post as much as I can to Instagram and eventually YouTube 😁
Raising My Skool Price to Get the Growth Boost Working - EP 57
I made some big changes to The One-Person Show over the past few weeks. I wanted to turn it from mainly a collection of courses into a more complete coaching community where Tytti and I help members personally with their content and Meta ads. So I rebuilt the offer, added new courses and I’m raising the price from $27/mo to $97/mo. At the same time, the higher price gives me a much better chance of getting the Skool Growth Boost working and turning Skool itself into a real acquisition channel. I go through everything I changed, why I’m making the price jump and what I’m testing next in this video. Youtube link: https://youtu.be/3vFmNZoMxbk?views P.S. The price for The One-Person Show increases to $97/mo on Sep 13. Until then you can still join for $27/mo and keep that price as long as you stay: 👉 https://www.skool.com/the-one-person-show/about
What 30 Daily YouTube Videos Did for My Skool Sales - EP 56
I posted one video every day for 30 days on my second YouTube channel and tried to drive that traffic to my Skool community. In this episode I show what happened. The subscriber growth, the watch time and what it did for sales. Youtube link: https://youtu.be/0UrwF5M4xJA?views
Do you notice if Skool start to run ads to your community? - EP 55
Skool started running Facebook ads to my community, and yes, you absolutely notice it when it starts 😁 Youtube link: https://youtu.be/XuYVV2IzsrA

@Tom Ikonomou Yes, that could be true, but now if I checked again my group was in different position, so don't know 😁 They change also the algo just few days ago, now the Trending show much more higher priced groups. I think it is also because how the Growth Boost works, they can promote more higher priced groups on ads so they do that also in Discovery.
I Started Posting Daily YouTube Videos to Grow My Skool Community (First Results) - EP 54
In this video I share what happened when I started posting daily long form YouTube videos to grow my Skool community. I only started this channel a few months ago and the views are still small, but the first ten days already surprised me. Youtube link: https://youtu.be/GRD8uEqeUQw?views
