HIRING: YouTube Editor + Content Manager (Long‑Term) 📢
I’m looking for one person to own my content pipeline and help me blow up YouTube + Instagram. The job is to handle all YT longform packaging based on my current branding and working proof of concept, handle all short form content creation including ideation, editing, posting, etc. and also some minimal YT long form editing as well. WHO I AM / WHAT WE DO I run an info / coaching offer that helps beginners start and scale AI & SMMA‑related agencies to $20k/mo profit and beyond. I’ve already signed 30+ high‑ticket clients organically from my current content style. Now I want to scale what’s working with volume and better packaging. You’ll work directly with me 1:1 long term to grow my brand and social presence. WHAT YOU WILL DO YouTube Long‑form: - 2-3+ value-based videos per week - Light edits: basic zooms/crops (edits to improve engagement & understanding)- 2–3 thumbnail options per video - 2–3 improved title options based on the content/angle - Collaboration with me on ideation Instagram / YT Short‑form: - Multiple reels per week - Editing, packaging based on branding, scheduling / posting - You handle everything from raw film → scheduled post WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Must‑haves: - You’ve edited similar YouTube content before (send proof) - You’ve designed successful thumbnails before (send proof) - You are a master at short form content (send proof) - You care about metrics and long term growth and not just “nice edits” - You are reliable, detail‑oriented, hit deadlines, willing to do whatever it takes to learn Bonus points if: You’ve worked with creators in online business / agency niches COMPENSATION Base: $1,000–$2,000/month to START, depending on experience and output and bonuses based on growth. Room to grow with: Increased volume and performance (if you help drive growth, you’ll be rewarded). P.S. I’m not looking for a one‑off project by project freelancer. I’m looking for the person I can scale this with over the coming years and become the best in the game together. Long term roles could include in person filmer / content director as the brand grows etc.

@Owen Rensland This is exactly how you scale content properly. I’m already working with someone long-term and having one person own the whole pipeline changes everything. Consistency gets easier, quality goes up, and you stop thinking about uploads all the time. Also love the focus on metrics over “pretty edits” , that’s what actually moves the needle. Solid opportunity for the right person.
When (and How) to hire an editor? (For Tech Tutorials)
Hi all, I have a tech YouTube channel, and it's still pretty new. But some of the editing can take so long I'm wondering at what point do I decide to hire a video editor. I'm also wondering when it comes to technology tutorials. Can I even hire an editor since some of the technical concepts that need to be covered in the video might require some technical knowledge? I wouldn't want to hire someone and then basically edit the video for myself by describing to them everything that needs to get edited. But I also have never hired a video editor before, so I actually don't know what expectations to have for the way it works. Any guidance and help in figuring this out would be appreciated.

@Frankie Riviera I have a tech channel too, and I brought in an editor once editing started slowing consistency. Technical knowledge helps, but it’s not mandatory , what matters is clear direction and a repeatable format. If you know the outcome you want per video, a good editor can handle the execution. Start with one video, align on style and structure, and refine from there. Over time, the process gets smoother and way less hands-on.
What is a “big” channel?
I've always wondered what makes a “big” channel on YouTube. Obviously there are the giant ones, but is 100K big? 1million?

@Frank Bergdoll I think “big” is relative. A channel is big when it can consistently reach the right audience and create real impact. Even 10–50k with strong engagement and income can be bigger than a million subs with low connection.
