Question
What helps you feel more confident when speaking in public? I heard something the other day that before you speak you should try get rid of the adrenaline build up so you arent nervous like doing twenty start jumps 10 press ups etc so you wont pace about so much might give that a try next time i have a interview thing tomorrow so gonna do that in advance i do random star jumps all the time anyway so hope it helps lol

Using personal stories in public speaking
Have you ever used a personal story in your presentation or speech? Many great speakers use personal experiences to make their message more engaging, relatable, and memorable. A short real story can build trust and help the audience connect with the speaker on a human level. But is it always a good idea? Sometimes personal stories can make a speech more powerful. Other times, they may feel too private, irrelevant, or distracting from the main message. Iโ€™m curious about your experience and your recommendations.

I love using storytelling in all of my talks, it is a great way to connect with the audience and make a talk memorable. Facts tell, stories sell. Emotions are a great way to make an audience feel what you are saying and personal stories convey this, when used in the right way.
SPEAKERx announcement: Ayo Johnson
In March we hosted our very first SPEAKERx event. And it was a homerun! 10 speakers. One event. One community. A lot of great ideas that deserve more than just sitting on a hard drive. So.. We're going to release all the videos, one speaker at a time. One story at a time. No rush. To give each voice the space it deserves. Some will challenge you. Some will stay with you longer than you expect. This is one of them. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿ‘‰ WATCH AYO's TALK HERE Ayo Johnson is a speaker and coach focused on resilience, mindset, and performance. His work combines principles from physical training and mental discipline to help individuals build strength from the inside out. In this talk, Ayo Johnson reframes resilience as something built long before challenges arise. Drawing on his personal journey, he explores how physical training taught him discipline and strength, but also revealed the importance of training the mind. LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ayo-johnson22/ Webpage: https://ayo-johnson.com/ This is a talk held at our event SPEAKERx Donโ€™t forget to connect with Ayo and comment the video, like and subscribe.

Hey Everyone, my name is Sam, I am from the UK. I have been a speaker for a long time (since 2010), I speak on the subject of LinkedIn, Social Selling and Sales Navigator. I joined this AMAZING community as I love to network with other speakers around the world, I am often in a position to refer other speakers to event organisers and corporate clients. Even though I have been speaking for a long time, there are always news skills to learn and there is always room for improvement! Speaking is my superpower, I love it! Look forward to turning strangers into friends and supporting everyone here in their speaker journeys!
