Potty training
I’ve just been made aware that a member is interested in how we have experienced potty training our dogs. So if you have any tips, please share in here. So here are my thoughts. Can I just say this is my own personal experience and @Angela Day will jump on when available and add anything relevant. Obviously I would suggest that having got your puppy, have a vet check to ‘check all is in working order. That includes poops and pees! When I have had puppies, I have taken them out for a toilet break when they wake, before they are put down to bed ( whether in a crate or not) any times in between. Every time they relieve themselves I give praise. Remembering that after play they may need to go out again. Their bladders aren’t that big and they haven’t learnt that the garden is the place so accidents shouldn’t be met with being scolded as this can make them scared and even avoid going when you are there. At night times or if I leave them at home I provide a very big, high sided ( must be suitable for your size of puppy) tray with shredded paper. I don’t mean newspaper it’s like a mix of paper and kitchen towel, very soft and absorbent and for sale by the huge bale. This soaks up everything and enables your pup to still have a specific place if unable to get outside. Please feel free to add your experiences and ideas and hopefully between us this will help.

@Jackie Wylde There is a park that no one goes to in Panama City, which we’re going down there this weekend. I’m gonna take both of them because I’m taking the big ones with Lucy and Luna and just let them run cause it’s so they should be able to have fun there and stretch their legs

💩Why Is Dog Poo Invisible?
👀Why is it even when you watch from afar and keep your eye on the spot where your dog pooped so you can pick it up, it literally just vanishes 😧

I think sometimes we just get sidetracked because they act like they’re not done so we forget where they went the first time.

🐾 Quick favour, pack! 🐾
This group is all about dogs, zoomies, and giggles, no sales pitches, spam or sneaky, cheeky promos. 🐶✨ If you ever spot something that feels a bit “salesy” or "businessy" not in the spirit of our fun dog space, could you do me a favour? 🐕 👉 Just give me or one of these advocates @Sue Crawford @Debbie Allery @Jackie Wylde a little nudge a quiet message or report the post. Think of it like this: you’re the neighbourhood watch, but for business spam. 😂 🐾Together we can keep this place the cosy, drama-free hangout it’s meant to be. Thanks, lovelies, now back to the important stuff… show me your dog’s latest goofy face! 🐾📸💖

It’s all in the name.
I have just commented about the handsome Brian on The Canine Advicates which prompted me to ask the question Why did you choose the name you chose for your dogs? I wanted to adventure outdoors more, I have a love of history with Vikings being my favourite so I side stepped a little and name Leif after the greatly achieved Leif Erickson from Greenland. It seemed perfect and I just love it for him.

Name Lucy Lou Lucy because she reminds me of blue cell ball Luna I’m not sure where we got that name. We just started calling her that Ginger I dreamed about him and his name was already given to him. I was looking for him at the pound and he just had to have the name Ginger, as as I dreamed we named him after baby powder.
