Mites
Last year my daughter had a terrible infestation of mites on her monstera that hung near window for indirect light. We tried several things but they kept returning. She gave up on it and threw it out. I got her a new one this year. What can we do to not have this problem again?

One of the best things you can do is thoroughly check any new plants she bring in to make sure they don’t have mites. Or even quarantine new plants in a separate area. Mites can be hard to spot and at a greenhouse they could hose off the plants enough that you don’t see the mites, then after a few days in the house they repopulate enough to be noticed.
SUCCULENT EXPERTS? NEED HELP!
I have these succulent plants I got about 2 months ago and now it's starting to grow these tiny plans, not from the root ( don't know what they're called ) I see a lot of people just cutting them off, but I want to know if I can plant these tiny ones. Can I? If yes then are these ones ready to be planted? How should I do it? HELP!!😭

If you do decide to cut the smaller plants off and grow them I would just suggest letting them callous over (let the wound heal up) for a couple days before planting them just deep enough that they don’t fall over. But as Amy said you could also remove the leaves and set them on top of the soil to grow new plants.

I do not know what to do with my Drama Queen. 😂 she was fine in Missouri and then we moved to Colorado and I don’t think she likes it here. Any suggestions? I’m sure trim her back is one thing but I want to make sure I’m helping her and not hindering or hurting her. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Total new plant mom if you didn’t figure that out. 😂 my friend got me this plant. I do not use the peppers.

Hi! The leaves are looking a bit yellow. She could maybe do with some fertilizer. It could also be the change in sun intensity. If she used to be in a sunnier spot in the old house and now isn’t getting as much that could also be stressing her out. Even if you’re not using the peppers removing them and any flowers could help too. That way it’s not putting energy into keeping them alive. It can stimulate the plant to focus more on foliage growth (growing leaves) instead of fruit.

Hi, I’m Sam, I studied horticulture in college and have been working in a greenhouse for the last 5ish years. Plant identification and propagation are my favourite plant topics. So, I thought it would be fun to join a community where my plant knowledge might come in handy 😊.
