Learning different stitches
I was thinking the other day about how I learnt to knit; my daughter has picked up her needles again after trying to learn a few years back. When I was at uni, to learn all the different stitches, etc we had to knit square swatches. At the time I thought it was pointless and boring haha but now i wish I had kept them all as a bit of a libary go to especially as I have ended up pursuing it as a career. I then thought it could be a great community idea to do a knit-along with swatches. It would be a great way to learn new stitches if you're a beginner, or just refresh if you're already a pro. Also, it's a great way to knit mindfully, since there's no stress of finishing anything when it's just a square. At the end, you could either sew them together and make a sample blanket or, like me, create a swatch library. I'm also considering doing videos to go with each one. I would love your thoughts? Would this interest you? I may add it as a paid tier but not sure yet. So thoughts are very welcomed :) xx

One colour or multiple
When buying a pattern do you prefer one colour or multiple? Particularly for shawls/scarves

Welcome to We Love Wool Club 🧶
I am so glad you are here. This is a cosy space for knitters & crocheters to make small monthly projects, share progress, and learn together. You can chat in the feed, ask questions, show your yarn and celebrate each step with friendly people. You do not need experience. Curiosity is enough. Say hello in the comments. What are you working on at the moment, and how long have you been knitting or crocheting? Make a cuppa and get comfy. I can't wait to knit & crochet with you. Sam x

A little Woolly Nudge 🧶
If your project has been sat in its bag since the weather turned warm, it hasn't taken it personally. Wool is very forgiving like that. 🧶 Go and dig it out. Have a look at where you left off. You don't have to work a single stitch if you don't fancy it, though you probably will once it's in your hands. What's the project you keep meaning to get back to?

@Julia Johnson oh well done you!! Who's pattern are you using? I use to hate knitting with anything thinner than dk lol but I have grown to love it recently.
Summer Headband
I needed a break from my MA knitting over the weekend, so I adjusted a headband pattern I have to make it into a tied version. What do you think? Shall I publish it as a pattern?
