I’m Coach Sam Clay, and basketball has been a major part of my life both as a player and now as a coach. I played at Central Christian College, where I competed at the collegiate level and honed my skills on and off the court being an All-Conference, All-Region, and 1000 pt scorer. It was there that I met my friend and brother for life your mental performance coach, and together we realized how powerful it is to combine mindset and skill development. Since then, I’ve transitioned into coaching and currently serve as an assistant coach for both the boys and girls varsity basketball programs at Doherty High School, working directly with athletes on skill development, game preparation, and performance. My training style is built around: - Game-speed reps - Real decision-making - Footwork and body control - Building confidence through preparation I’ve worked with athletes at multiple levels, and one thing stays the same: players who commit to consistent, intentional work separate themselves. What you’ll get from me isn’t random drills—it’s structured development designed to help you: - Play faster and more under control - Improve your basketball IQ and reads - Build real confidence in your game - Translate workouts into actual performance I’m big on accountability, energy, and doing things the right way. If you’re here, you’re not just trying to play; you’re trying to elevate your game. Let’s work.
