“9 Out of 9 Said No.”
“I’ve Never Heard This From Anyone, Except You” That’s what one of our VIP Cohort 1 students said, 2 weeks into the course. Grew up in the community. Grew up around scholars, khutbahs, a Muslim household. So we asked the room a simple question: “Have you seen anything like this framework in your community before?” Nine out of nine said no. Not because they weren’t taught Islam. No one had ever shown them the Kalimah as something to actually think and lead with, not just recite. That’s the gap Foundations of Divine Alignment was built to close. Cohort 1 is living it right now, week by week. If any part of this sounds familiar, the course is open in the Classroom tab.

@Ziad Hafda Yes for me it was being too attached to outcomes. I choose to submit to Allahs will in what I strive for, to learn what it is to work but not grow too attached or tired, and to restore your focus on Allah alone. Ultimately I am learning to never love anything more than I love Islam, and what it really means to let go of something and be able to live without needing that thing. A powerful reminder from the Quran was how competition for more eventually leads one to their own death. And then through that I realised what a complete waste of my energy it was to be attached to end i had pictured, because it is the belief that we must have in the divine decree as Muslims, that is always the best for us.

Another lesson was on sacrificing the things you love through Ibrahim AS story, and the beauty of Allahs plan in all things.
WEEK 2: ATTITUDE: BEHAVIOURAL PATTERNS
Last week we asked: Who Are You? This week we go deeper into one half of the answer, Your Behavioural Patterns. Attitude isn't a mood. It's built from two things, and this week is about the first: What you actually do, on repeat, without thinking about it. Here's the honest part. Most of us think our behaviour reflects our values. Often it just reflects our habits. Habits form long before we ever examine them. What you repeat becomes who You are. Not what you intend. Not what you post. What you repeat. This is where self-assessment gets uncomfortable because behavioural patterns are visible to everyone around us, even when they're invisible to us. This week: pick one behaviour you do on autopilot. Ask where it came from. Drop it below — we're building this together. Share the Skool link with a friend to continue to build as a collective body

@Ziad Hafda Jazakallah Khair, I like the idea that you have on driving and will keep it in mind whenever I am moving about with my day. There wasn’t any prophet who worried when it came to Allah SWTs command, and going through hardship was a part of the process. So yes I agree that I do need to start embracing discomfort even more and eventually it will feel fine.

@Ziad Hafda I went to Surah Qasas and there is a sequence of repeated prayers that Musa AS has made, acknowledging the dangers of Shaytans whispers and seeking forgiveness from Allah SWT, and after this asking Allah SWT to guide him to the straight path. Thereafter came a sequence of events that were very unique and turned out to be great blessings. So trusting Allah SWTs guidance and decree. Musa was told not to fear. Through Musa AS mindset of turning to Allah SWT and persevering, asking for guidance he was prepared for a great task which is to face the pharaoh. The people who were oppressed in the land ended up as its leaders and those who were arrogant faced a horrible punishment, and that is the lesson that I take from that, combined with the mindset of Musa AS that I hope to benefit from, Insha Allah. One thing that recently I have become aware of as a constant state of my thinking is that is the truth alone that we seek from Allah SWT alone, not the earth itself. That is what the Quran is sent down for, to each and every individual person. The book that can if Allah wills move mountains, make the earth split and the dead speak as Allah SWT has said in the Quran.
Introducing Myself - Ziad Hafda
Assalamu alaykum everyone 👋 I'll go first. My name is Ziad Hafda. I'm the founder of The Muslim Mind Academy and I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I've spent over 22 years seeking Islamic knowledge, teaching students, mentoring, leading community programs and asking one question that wouldn't leave me: Why do so many Muslims know the Kalimah but so few are actually living from it based on its true intended purpose sent by Allah... That question became this community. I'm a Vice-President and Chair of Education at the Australian Islamic House in Sydney. I'm also writing a book — The Muslim Mind: Reviving the Ummah through the Kalimah — which is the foundation of everything we teach here. I built this community for Muslims who are done drifting and ready to think, lead and live with Divine direction. Your turn 👇 Tell us who you are, where you're from, and answer this one question honestly: What is the biggest gap you feel between your Islam and your daily life right now? No judgment. This is your space. May Allah bless your path Ziad

Assalamualaikum, My name is Saliha and I am from Islamabad Pakistan to Sydney Australia. Through this community I hope to maintain the accountability required to build a strong foundation of faith. I aim to unify every aspect of my currently chaotic life with Islam Insha Allah. I pray that we can all be excellent in everything we do and have the yaqeen to see our true potential no matter what state we are in now, and our potential lies in the gift of Islam, looking at the great success our religion has and will always be. I want us to be proud of it and really feel like one body Insha Allah. Ultimately my goal for myself and for everyone is: - Draw closer to Allah SWT, Aim for Jannah, realise your gifts as a Muslim, support one another, take care of yourself and others really and together achieve all our wishes in the next life and our short stop here, knowing when you need to seperate for your inner work and join, regardless it is a team effort 🤍 The biggest thing getting in my way: - Fear of the worst outcome, letting the past and present dictate my future, not feeling good enough, letting thoughts get in the way: The solution is knowing that Allah SWT has already decreed everything. Focus on what is within your scope and forget about the rest. Truly, truly, it is not your concern what the future holds, what is not within your knowledge! Key step: Reprogram your mind to Islam ✨
Your mind already has a blueprint. Do you know what it is?
The framework tells us our Current State of Mind has a set of values, beliefs, positions and visions, they are all built on a knowledge baseline. Here is the confronting question: Who built that baseline? Was it the Quran and Sunnah? Was it your school, your culture, your social media feed, your fears, your trauma? Most of us have never stopped to audit the software running our mind. We just keep operating on it. Making decisions. University Programs. Starting to Build careers. Without ever asking, where did this come from and is it serving me? "What is the single biggest thing shaping your thinking right now — and is it from a divine source or a human one? Be honest with yourself and share it here." My current mindset was most shaped by:

The difference between the past mindset and the mindset gifted by Allah SWT through Islam is miraculous, just perfect. It is something we can all experience by the mercy and love of our creator, as we draw closer to Allah SWT in any way we can! My previous mindset was shaped by a dunya focused perspective. Chasing the next goal, spending hours working so hard. Until they gave me absolutely 0 return. Left me disappointed. I had no strength in me. I cut myself off of everyone because of such hard times. This is when my safety blanket was removed - when I was away from home in university studies and left to do everything on my own. I had this grand plan of the dream career and job, but day in and day out was exhausted and drained. It was costing me a lot. Including my health mentally and physically. My body was in pain and I was quite sad for a long time. So I had nothing to really rest on, no one understood it either. To see the luxuries of the world and want that but realising that it is all pretty much useless without a purpose. So slowly as I read the Quran I was less and less impressed by this world. And there are so many examples in the Quran, for example as the rain that gives the land life and then you see it dried up and dead, and the description of dunya being play and amusement. So I really felt it, therefore I asked myself what is the point of all of this, I might as well try to invest for the forever life Insha Allah. After that things really changed and I never saw it coming. I saw my mistakes more better and turned to Allah SWT through these. A big topic was Gratitude. Islam then taught me, through the universal message of the kalimah, that brought me a fresh perspective, that the hereafter is the true place. That Allah SWT only intends ease for us, that Allahs SWT messengers are concerned for our wellbeing, and that I didn’t have to worry about my provisions and other such things as I read the Quran and learnt Allah SWTs names. This was when everything changed.
Week 1 - Self Assessment - WHO ARE YOU?
Life starts with knowing Allah. Before we can move forward, build, lead, decide. We have to stop and ask ourselves something honest: Who are you, really? Not your job title. Not what people expect from you. Who are you when no one's watching? This is where The Behavioural Compass™ begins — a 6-week framework we're walking through together, one piece a week, starting with Self-Assessment. Every decision we make is shaped by our Attitude. Attitude isn't a mood, it's built from two things: our Behavioural Patterns (what we do) and our Thinking Patterns (how we process). Most of us have never separated the two. We just call it "how I am." Here's what we believe: the Ummah doesn't lack capability. We lack the pause(quick pit stop). The moment of honest self-assessment before decision-making can commence. This week, before you build anything else "pause". Ask: Who are you? Not to judge yourself. To know yourself, so Allah's guidance actually has somewhere to land. Drop below: when you ask yourself that question honestly, what's the first word that comes up? We'll build on this next week.

@Ziad Hafda Prophet Muhammad SAW when it comes to injustice, he forbade it; and he said you stop the oppressor from oppressing people, to me that means exerting every effort to stop injustice is what we must do. And he SAW said “A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other." then clasped his hands with the fingers interlaced. So especially when there is injustice in the muslim world, we are all affected by it, and it is upon us together work towards the solution. I want to look into the details of Prophet Muhammad SAW instructions on acting against injustice, I will Insha Allah.

@Ziad Hafda From Surah Al Ahzab there is one out of many other ayat in the Quran, stating “Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often.” So we must take everything from the Prophet Muhammad SAW who Allah says is our excellent example. From this I learn that adopting Prophet Muhammad SAW thinking, actions, everything about him will be a means we can gain Allah SWTs pleasure, Allah says that it is on those pledged in alliance with Prophet Muhammad SAW, in this verse that Allah SWT says “Surely those who pledge allegiance to you ˹O Prophet˺ are actually pledging allegiance to Allah. Allah’s Hand is over theirs. Whoever breaks their pledge, it will only be to their own loss. And whoever fulfils their pledge to Allah, He will grant them a great reward.” So the part with Allahs Hand is over theirs and a great reward it’s beautiful to strive for this. And part of this is copying everything we can from the Prophet Muhammad SAW. It’s quite a freeing thing to know that whatever you copy from Prophet Muhammad SAW is the means of success, therefore we don’t have to complicate our lives in speculation and others opinions and be lost, depressed or confused by everything other than what Islam teaches.
