Found a strategy, tool, company, business model or transaction structure worth understanding? Bring it. Have something you want members to buy, join, invest in or sign up for? This isn’t the place to pitch it. Use Opportunity Spotted when introducing something new for the community to explore. 🤝 2. Contribute publicly. Let members initiate privately. If you have knowledge that could help someone, share it in the discussion so everyone benefits. Don't use posts, comments or member activity to build a prospecting list. No unsolicited commercial, recruiting or promotional DMs. If two members mutually choose to continue a conversation privately, that's completely fine. 💡 3. Share what you know. Ask what you don't. You don't need to be an expert to contribute. Ask questions. Challenge assumptions. Share firsthand experience. Add context when you have it. If you're speculating, say so. If you've actually done something, tell us what happened. Curiosity is welcome. Pretending to know isn't necessary. 📣 4. Disclose your interests. If you recommend or discuss something you have a financial or business relationship with, say so clearly. Employee. Owner. Affiliate. Referral partner. Investor. Vendor. Whatever the relationship is—disclose it. Having an interest doesn't automatically make the information less valuable. Hiding the interest does. 🚫 5. Don't manufacture curiosity. No: “DM me for details.” “Comment INFO and I'll send it.” “I found an amazing opportunity...” followed by a pitch. Lead-gen posts disguised as education. Recruiting disguised as an Opportunity Spotted post. If something is valuable enough to discuss here, bring the useful information into the discussion. ✏️ 6. Report reality—not just wins. Tried something we explored? Come back and post a Field Report. We want successes, failures, dead ends, unexpected problems, numbers when you're comfortable sharing them, and things you investigated and decided not to pursue.

We want the wins, but we also want the dead ends, unexpected problems, things that were harder than advertised, strategies you abandoned, and ideas that worked differently than you expected. Real-world experience makes the entire Lab smarter. You don't need to complete an entire strategy before reporting back. Maybe you: - Called 20 property owners from a dataset we explored. - Tried a new acquisition method. - Ran an actual transaction through a financing strategy. - Evaluated a property as a BRRRR and passed. - Tested an AI workflow in your business. - Contacted a company we discussed and learned how its model actually works. - Pursued a creative-finance opportunity and hit an unexpected roadblock. - Obtained a license, certification or capability we explored. - Made money from something you first discovered inside the Lab. - Spent three hours investigating something and concluded it wasn't worth doing. All of those are useful Field Reports. 🚨IMPORTANT: DON'T TURN THE RESULT INTO A PITCH If your experiment involved a company, product or service you're affiliated with, disclose the relationship. Field Reports are for sharing what you learned, not converting the community into customers, recruits or referrals. Tell us what happened. Give us the numbers when you're comfortable. Tell us what you'd do differently.
