Husbands, honor your wives. The same word in Hebrew used for the Holy Spirit is the same word used for our wives. Ephesians 5:25-29 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ has loved the church and gave Himself up for her… in the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own body, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as a weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

Perish the flesh is what the Lord commands of us. Kill the flesh of your body and be born again a new being of the Lord. It’s not a one and done, it’s everyday, every hour, every minute, every second. To reach sanctification death is mandatory. Every Christian ever, has died to reach the kingdom of God. Baptism by fire, the trials in life that test our faith. Either we fall and try again, or we succeed empowering the Holy Spirit within us and strengthening our convictions, bring us closer to Jesus. Never give up, the journey is a long hard road but you can do it, for through the Lord all things are possible.
