Travel Tips and Hidden Gems Most People Miss
Happy Monday everyone! I want to welcome our new members this week to the group! I wanted to start this week by opening up the discussion and sharing any travel tips or hidden gems. I’ll go first. The Caribbean can be quite pricy and most of the islands you need a passport to travel to. but this is my favorite “domestic” spot to send people. Located in Puerto Rico, Dorado Beach, has just 100 beachfront rooms (all with outdoor showers and private plunge pools), it feels more like a hidden estate than a hotel. Guests can snorkel straight from the beach, bike the Rockefeller Nature Trail, or reserve a private dinner under the stars. What’s a travel tips or hidden gems you’d like to share this week? Most people travel to Greece to enjoy the Islands. Greece has approximately 6,000 islands and islets, of which only about 227 are inhabited. However, the Greek mainland has a great deal to offer as well. Meteora is a World Heritage site. One must not leave Greece without viewing Meteora and the sunset from the top of the mountain. The sight is spectacular. Traveling further North to Zagoria, you will find a breathtaking region in northwestern Greece, known for its traditional stone villages, arched stone bridges, and stunning natural beauty. A tour here usually includes exploring the famous Vikos Gorge—one of the deepest in the world—along with scenic hikes through lush forests, visits to charming villages like Papingo and Monodendri, and enjoying delicious local cuisine in cozy tavernas. It’s the perfect mix of nature, culture, and history, offering a peaceful and enriching escape from the crowds. Have you been? Have you seen?
