HUGE NEWS FOR AI ARTISTS
HUGE NEWS FOR AI ARTISTS !Spotify, UMG to let fans make their own music with AI Share Edited by James Callan, Editor at LinkedIn News Spotify and Universal Music Group have struck a new deal to let users create content for Spotify — such as song covers or remixes — using artificial intelligence. The companies didn't specify which artists' songs would be available for use, but Spotify co-chief Alex Norström said the feature "is grounded in consent, credit and compensation for the artists and songwriters that take part." The streaming giant is also teaming up with Live Nation to offer fans the chance to buy tickets to certain shows before they go on sale. https://www.linkedin.com/news/story/spotify-umg-to-let-fans-make-their-own-music-with-ai-7297516/

This is honestly a huge shift for the music industry, especially for independent and AI artists. The fact that Spotify and UMG are opening the door for AI-generated covers, remixes, and fan-created content shows how fast the industry is evolving right now. What stands out to me most is the part about consent, credit, and compensation. That’s probably going to be the biggest conversation moving forward because artists want innovation, but they also want protection for their original work and sound. For creators, this could open a lot of opportunities creatively. People who know how to combine AI tools with real storytelling, songwriting, and production could build something really unique from this wave. At the same time, I think artists who focus on originality and emotional connection will still stand out the most, because technology can help create music, but it can’t fully replace human experience behind a song. What’s your take on it, do you see AI making the music space more creative or more competitive?

First — thank you. If you’re here right now, you’re one of the early builders of this community. As a thank you, I’ve unlocked Suno Levels 1–3 for everyone FREE. Go through them. Learn. Experiment. Build. At the same time, I’m evolving the direction of this school. We’re shifting from just “how to use Suno”… To: How to release, monetize, and scale AI-assisted music properly. There are going to be some structural updates to the classroom as I build out a more complete release blueprint. If you’re serious about turning AI music into something real, you’re in the right place. More coming soon. For now go enjoy all 3 free unlocked courses. Appreciate you being early.
