📌 📚 FRESH START PRO — TEAM NOTICE ✏️ 📌 📞 Call or Text: 800-718-3121 📧 [email protected] Hello Team, Please review these important school platform updates and participation reminders. 📚 “50 Ways to Grow Your Business” — Now Available We apologize for a system glitch that prevented this resource from appearing in the school platform. We believed it had been added successfully, but it was not displaying as expected. The issue has been corrected, and “50 Ways to Grow Your Business” is now available under Classroom. Thank you for your patience! 🗓️ Scheduling Link & Training Dates The scheduling link was also missing from some school platforms. We apologize for this oversight. The link has now been added under Classroom in each school platform. Training dates have also been posted. Please review the available dates on the schedule any training you need. ✏️ Stay Connected & Participate Please check the school platform at least twice a week for announcements, resources, training opportunities, and helpful information for the upcoming tax season. We encourage everyone to participate weekly—even if you do not currently need training. Participation can be as simple as: • 👍 Liking a post • 💬 Leaving a comment • ❓ Asking a question • 🌟 Sharing something motivational • 📚 Joining a training discussion At a minimum, every team member must participate at least once every three weeks. Going forward, members who have not participated during a three-week period may be removed from the school platform. If removed, you may still call or text with questions. The school platform is a paid resource maintained by administration to support your learning, preparation, and growth. Active participation helps us know you are connected, receiving updates, and making use of the resources provided. We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our learning community engaged. ☎️ Contact Information Reminder Please give all clients and team members only this phone number: 800-718-3121.

Filing Status
📚✏️ FRESH START PRO TAX EDUCATION ✏️📚 📝 Understanding the FIVE Tax Filing Statuses Your filing status affects your tax rates, standard deduction, and eligibility for certain credits. Here’s what each one means! 💡 📘 1️⃣ SINGLE Generally for taxpayers who are unmarried, divorced, or legally separated under a qualifying decree on December 31 and do not qualify for another filing status. ✏️ Being separated and living in different homes does not automatically make you Single for tax purposes. 📗 2️⃣ MARRIED FILING JOINTLY For married couples who agree to file one return together, combining their income and reporting eligible deductions and credits. ✏️ You may file jointly even if only one spouse earned income. Both spouses generally share responsibility for the return and taxes owed. 📙 3️⃣ MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY For married taxpayers who file separate returns. Special rules determine how income, deductions, and credits are reported. ✏️ Filing separately can limit certain tax benefits. Compare both options before deciding which eligible status works best for your situation. 📕 4️⃣ HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD Generally, you must: ✅ Be unmarried or considered unmarried under IRS rules. ✅ Pay MORE than half the cost of keeping up your home. ✅ Have a qualifying person who generally lived with you for more than half the year. Special rules apply to dependent parents. ✏️ Having a child or paying bills alone does not automatically qualify you. Married taxpayers living apart must meet additional requirements. 📓 5️⃣ QUALIFYING SURVIVING SPOUSE May be available for the TWO tax years following the year your spouse died if you meet all requirements, including: ✅ You have not remarried. ✅ You were eligible to file jointly for the year your spouse died. ✅ You maintain a home for an eligible dependent child or stepchild who generally lives with you all year. ✅ You pay more than half the cost of keeping up that home. ✏️ This status uses joint-return tax rates and the corresponding standard deduction. In the year your spouse dies, you may still qualify to file jointly.
