Cold Plunge?
Just posting random topics to get group insights. Anyone have a cold plunge regiment that has worked for you? Any random benefits you see from doing it? I have tried it a few times but not as consistent to measure any physical difference with my performance or overall health. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I am also very interested in this. Some time ago I was riding by the sea and going to the water after the rides. Next day i felt well recovered and no sore legs even after hard riding. I don’t know if it was just my perception but cold sea water seemed to work .

To get ready for racing crits this season, I'm racing on Zwift to prep the legs. Last week in advanced category I was no match for some of the heavy hitters. I finished mid pack and had to drop down to cat A this week. Although I love challenging myself in the highest category, it was fun to race in A this week. I felt early on that I had a chance to go for the win. I made a few stupid decisions until @Nick Simons showed up in Fan view and started to coach me how to navigate the course. With his help I arrived fresh on the final climb to the finish. I went long on and boooom! First win on Zwift by a very slim margin. Thanks @Nick Simons and @Wouter Verhulst for the support! (Sorry for the glitchy footage. I guess my laptop or internet is not fast enough)

Base phase complete
Hey! So yesterday I completed the base phase and I have to say my results are great, the first ftp test I did during this phase I had 213w for an hour and yesterday I did 238 so I guess that’s a big improvement. Now I’m not sure what to do now, I was thinking to start the build peak phase but I have this race in June so I was maybe thinking to do little more base and start the build peak so it ends right before the race. Let me know what you think
goal
hey its time to share my wishes and goals. so the wish is to finish gravel adventure race in poland and the goal is to complete all the trainings green i've been doing the base training program and this is my last week doing it, i have to be completely honest with everyone that i didn't stick to it in 100% i have work and other commitments and i couldnt complete it just as planned but whenever i had time i did an extra session to compensate. sadly i had to skip the weight lifting as well due to my knee injury but i tried to compesate it with extra zone 2 sessions and the results are great so far, this sunday is my final ftp test in the base phase, i will shere the results!

@Widdley Braggins thanks! That’s exactly how I see it too. In the past I’ve been hard on myself for not sticking to the plan 100 percent and every time it resulted in going away from the bike cause I couldn’t keep up with the expectations.

@Arne Peters rocky mountain terrain, 120km with over 2000m of elevation. Part rocky part loose gravel so 50mm tyres needed. Last years was a thunder and I had 2 punctures + crash so I have some unfinished business this year
