Arrived in Dubai (Live Chat postponed to next week)
Hey all, I just arrived in Dubai last night for my Dubai Games competition this week. I had a live chat scheduled for this week but think it would be better on my schedule and for the sake of the conversation if we save it til next week then I will have more to share about how the experience goes. I have to walk up the Burj Khalifa (worlds tallest building) tomorrow via the stairs (163 floors) carrying a 10kg weight vest. Then the Ninja round starts Saturday. Anyway - Thursday 27th 7pm GMT. Hope to see you there! T

Natural Running
Hi everyone - interesting video, which many of you perhaps already saw in the 12 years since publication - https://youtu.be/zSIDRHUWlVo?si=E3G13hGT-_6BQXt- Hi @Timothy Shieff ! I'm asking this here, since I don't see a running thread. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm curious on your thoughts on this approach of natural running. Is this method one you would recommend? - He mentions a stable core. He does seem to locomote, but doesn't particularly mention coiling core. (I'm aware that stable core doesn't necessarily mean stiff core). - The exercise with the resistance band (in the end of the video) reminds me of your exercises in the Strength module. Thanks in advance!

@Dilan P Thanks for the affirmation! Happy running 🦢 🦢 In case you're interested, I'm also following Tony Riddle. He has some great videos, and I really like his book. I first learned about his approach through an interview he did with Dr. Chatterjee. Tony likes to take things to the extreme! :)
NEW MODULE πŸ€ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈ + JULY #1 LIVE CHAT - THURSDAY - 7pm BST
MINI MODULE I just uploaded a new mini module to the School - CARTWHEELS! https://www.skool.com/timsgym/classroom/aa78ac70?md=82fc21bfffdf4654ad3d3f7655880f96 I think this a humble understated 'move' that we should all be able to do which we can use as an exercise with many benefits and much joy to be had. Not to mention there are two directions we should be able to do it in and there are fun progressions too. LIVE CHAT https://us06web.zoom.us/j/6545190395 This weeks Live Chat will be on Thursday back to 7pm BST. Hope to see you there! Tim

Cool!
What are you struggling with?
I have to be honest, I feel like a bit of an imposter right now. I have lower back pain and have had it for several weeks and the usual things that have worked to 'fix' it in the past (ab feather barrier work, seated good mornings, glute roll outs, shakti mat etc) just aren't working this time around. I've gone from having some weeks feeling as good as I've felt as an adult to feeling fragile as ever. It started the day after the recent Parkour comp I did (no specific incident just general pushing beyond/longer then what my body was ready for). I really want a physical solution but I know there's emotions (anger & sadness) locked into it that I'm very resistive too also. Anyway not looking for sympathy but because my instinct is to just shy away and not let you know so I don't appear weak I thought I'd challenge that and be honest and share my own struggles. Curious if you are open to sharing are you struggling/frustrated with anything right now too?

Thanks for sharing brother. Being vulnerable is part of being human. Good luck on your journey πŸ€ I injured my hip/glute 1.5 years ago during a volleyball exercise and again during an interval run. Despite doing many exercises to lengthen/strengthen/relax/stretch it, the issue remains and almost feels like part of me now.

Having some small by noticeable wins in my training recently so I'd love to pass the question off to you guys... Please comment below and share any recent small (or big) win in your training/body/biomechanics practice!

I'm combining a lot of the Strength module (slow reps and resistance bands) with the GtG module, and feel a lot more mobile and flexible, especially in the hips/glutes/hamstrings. Still waiting for the magic strenght to happen, so please ask again in couple of months Tim! πŸ˜€
