My Origin Story: When the Superfriends First Assembled
Every great team has a moment when the story begins. It’s the moment when people from completely different journeys—each carrying their own experiences, struggles, and calling—suddenly cross paths and realize they were never meant to walk alone. In the movies, that’s the moment the heroes assemble. For the Superfriends, that moment didn’t happen on a movie screen. It happened during a prophetic conference. But the truth is, the story started long before we ever met. Because long before our paths crossed, God had already been moving behind the scenes—preparing each of us through different seasons of life. For me, that preparation came during a pivotal time in my walk with God. I had grown weary. Not weary of God—but weary of the battles. There had been illness, family challenges, and financial strain. Yet through it all, I remained committed to walking with integrity before the Lord. Even when things were difficult, I had made the decision that my relationship with God would remain steady. During that season, I was introduced to the ministry of Prophet Joshua Giles. Listening to his messages felt like a cold drink of water on a hot day. He was speaking directly to the things I had been thinking about and praying through—offering clarity, wisdom, and kingdom solutions that brought direction to what God was doing in my life. So when I heard about the Prophet’s House, I signed up. It was during one of those gatherings that something significant happened. Apostle Giles shared a prophecy about a coming move of God—one that would not necessarily look like the large movements people were used to seeing. Instead, he spoke about a remnant that God was raising up. This move, he said, would happen differently. It would begin in small groups. Groups that would form organically by the Spirit of God—people who would find one another and begin walking together in what God was doing. As I listened, something in my spirit responded. So after the session ended, I began searching through the chat room, looking to see if anyone else had heard the same call and was responding to it.
