✨ Special Welcome to Afwa (Omitola / Erika) ✨
Everyone, please help me welcome a very special new member — Afwa, also known as Omitola and Erica. Omitola is actually the main character in my book Meditations Across the King’s River. Our journey together began in 2016 when I visited her home island of Guadeloupe for the first time. The purpose of my trip was to perform her Hand of Ifa ceremony. At the time, I had no idea that experience would eventually lead me to write a book. But while I was in Guadeloupe, something powerful started happening. Ideas kept coming to me. I felt strongly that my ancestors were speaking and guiding the process. Your ancestors are speaking to you too. The real question is — are you trusting the guidance? Next month we’re going to do a live conversation with Omitola, where she’ll share more about: Her culture and life in Guadeloupe Her interest in African spirituality• How both of our journeys have evolved since the book was published. It’s going to be a powerful discussion and I’m excited for you all to meet her. 👇 Drop a welcome message for Omitola below and also tell us. What makes it difficult for people to trust spiritual guidance, and what has helped you learn to trust it more?

The Sacred Cycle of Ending and Becoming
One of my elders in Ifa used to say: there is no ending without a beginning, and no beginning without an ending. It is the cycle of life. I was taught this during divination training more than 20 years ago, and it still rings true today. The man in this picture initiated me into the Ifa tradition. His name was Aseda. If he were alive today, he would tell you the same thing he told me: Open your doors. Let go of the things—and the people—that are not helping your growth. So let me ask you: Where in your life does something need to end so that a new beginning can emerge? What are you still clinging to that’s keeping you from truly living again? Sit with that. The answer matters.

Salute and respect!! Opening and closing of things to me means the wisdom and understanding of this cycle but also the transition from old to new, new Ashe, new lessons, that creative spark and new opportunities to expand! Nature is cleansing, supportive and comforting despite its other destructive traits.
The Responsibility You Inherit
- What unfinished work or gift from your ancestors is asking for your attention now? - In what way are you being called to tend, protect, or reshape what has been handed down to you? - What inherited pattern are you ready to face rather than avoid?

Great topic. For me is to remind my American family of our origins, connection and ancient practices from Africa. I constantly hear 'Revisit the family tree in the 1500's to 1800's and focus on routes and businesses of the European steamboat voyages especially from surnames of Daniels, Jackson, Cornish,...African bloodline have been displaced World wide because of business and labor.
When Anger Visits, What Is It Here to Teach?
Let go of anger. Don’t hold it in. Let it move through you. Let it teach you — then release it. Ask yourself: What’s the next best step? How can I build with what I have? What is life trying to teach me through this? More Reflection Questions: ✨ What happens if I let my heart stay open, even while feeling this? ✨ Who am I becoming through this experience?

Hello Circle. Great topic and responses. This topic of Anger has me reflect the basis of my explosions and why me burning down the whole village or market place was not needed. Readings about It and Ogun have 'cooled me' by reminding me that God or Divine energies will resolve these matters. I am just a messenger! Ashe!!

Salute and Ashe to you Baba James. I was there in 2022 before all the new attractions. Ethiopia will be a remembered trip! It's in Africa, there is historic Lucy, healthy food, Covenant, President has renovated the city and new attractions have been built from mountain resorts, zip lining, water parks and museums. I will miss this trip but I know what's in store for you all. Enjoy calm and peace of Addis Ababa! Salute. Rodney
