I think something with the logo big and central would work best since it's about the label and it's members and keeps it readable at distance and in different formats. I would go for a blend of different textures and colors to the seperate shapes the logo is made up of, so it represents the versatility of artists in the team and their sounds. That's the first idea that would pop up in my head.

@Michael Shrieve I like the first the most. What I find difficult is that all are giving of a certain vibe to me while the compilation to me feels like more of a blend of vibes / identities making up something whole together.
Want more gigs? Want more music opportunities? This is what I did
Taking a leap of faith. Taking some time to write down a list of people to work with. When I was in my early 20’s and started to get gigs, it was because I started doing a few new things. I added an hour per day of sitting on the couch and going through my phonebook, rolodex, scraps of paper and business cards and calling and texting people. I also emailed people, but I mostly remember sitting on the couch of my house in Seattle and dialing up the phone numbers from my box of papers and business cards. I had a shoebox and that was my business. I realized, the more I did this, the more gigs I started getting. This is how my “music business” started. No social media, no videos, no emails, not anything but a shoebox filled with phone numbers of people I met throughout life. Now, there’s so many other factors leading up to this, like meeting these people at shows, in school, at studios, on MySpace, emailing through contact info on websites, cold calls, friends of friends, old and new contacts, and business cards I kept along the way. I still do a similar thing to this day. I set aside an hour multiple times per week and get on the phones. I feel if anyone can do this, it can greatly increase your odds of getting more gigs, meeting more people and doing more recordings and collaborations. Leading to more music opportunities, gigs and overall music business career. I had no business experience, no sales training, nothing. Just a producer / drummer and decent all around guy, calling up a dude for a music endeavor. Or, just to reconnect, stay connected, and those calls lead to many musical opportunities. Gigs come from phone calls. Gigs lead to more gigs. More gigs can lead to better gigs. Better gigs can lead to better paying gigs, and it goes from there. And of course, if you don’t know this, I have to say it. Before picking up the phone, you better be fu*king good at your craft. You better put in the 10,000 hours on your instrument and DAW. Full stop, you have to be in demand with your skills. Break down the door with your skills.

This is exactly how I got my gigs too. Sending messages, being at events and linking up with people from the organization behind it while sending out new music. The music scenes are often very small so just knowing a few people can go a long way. Then doing a one time free set (in exchange for some tickets, free drinks and money for travel) so you can give them a impression of what you can do. Difficult here is that it’s often an early set where you can’t play all out bangers, but which often requires you to warm up a crowd. If you want to play heavier slots that can become difficult as you get known for being a warm up dj with this strategy. And many events will give these slots to big producers anyways, so the strategy to get there seems a bit harder this way. And we were able to do a lot of student nights where uni students would organize their own sorority events. Those also payed pretty well and were long sets with a wide variety of people, so perfect to practice reading and playing into a crowd. And often approachable and open to try something out. Those also lead to quite some new opportunities and events at other sorority houses. The parties do tend to be a bit more chaotic and crazy overall, but we were always able to play really well into it as we were also very young students at the time.

Hello everyone! My name is Robin. I've been producing music since 2010. I've ran a music collective under the name Unified Cortex with some classmates while I was studying sound design with which we organized events, released 2 yearly free compilation albums and released a few EP's with. I've also released tracks on different labels and released my own EP on Open Outlet, a label from Culprate. You can check that out here: Stream Orbin | Luister gratis online naar afspeellijst Planet Orbin (Out now on Open Outlets) op SoundCloud I personaly really like this collab I've done with a vocalist on the EP, where I also created the vocal melody lines and wrote the lyrics for: https://soundcloud.com/orbinmusic/behind-my-mask?si=ab9e725825f24342bc6b9efbce68b326&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing Aside from that I released a track on Terra Firma with Low5, which got in the dnb top 100 on Beatport and had some single tracks released on compilation albums at Open Outlet. I've also graduated cum laude getting a bachelor degree in computer science in the game development and simulation area a little over a year ago, where my final avarage grade was an 8.5. After that I was a developer at a game company here in the Netherlands called PWXR, where I worked on games that combine fitness and gaming with the goal to make exercising more attractive and fun for children. I've worked a lot on VR games but also developed for mobile and P.C. and do a lot of different things related to that including 3D modelling, programming and digital art. I've made my own VR mech fighting game as a graduation project. This was a solo project in which I've done everything from scratch, from 3D design to programming, creating the visuals and making and implementing the music and sound effects. It was a really difficult challenge and by far the most complicated thing I've done in my life so far. I've got awarded the highest grade achieved in the course for the graduation track so far with a 9.6 for the project too, which was pretty cool! You can check some footage from that project here: The Final Arena: Trials of the Jankyard
