Share one gentle habit you’re committing to this week. Then comment on someone else’s habit with support or a tip that has helped you. This is a reminder that everything we feel needs to change does not need to happen all at once. Sometimes simply incorporating something healthy like a daily walk or meditation can be the replacement for the bad habit. When we give ourselves grace it is easier to handle the bad decisions, get back on track, and continue to create long term lifestyle habits. When that negative self-talk creeps in think of that part of you that is actually saying those things. Is it the child that didn't get the food or attention they wanted? Is it the traumatized teen that got bullied, or the soldier that tells you it's all about discipline? That part of you isn't someone to push away or to be ignored it's a part that needs you to love them as much as you would love your own child. Comfort them, assure them they are heard, and walk through life with them. By doing this the risk of that part completely taking over your better judgments will become quieter and in sync with your current choices.
