I am working through simple stuff and learning step by step. I am aiming to understand AI well enough to have it produce a website for me. I have an idea of consolidating information for the use of my co-workers. Our employer has info scattered here and there. it is there but it takes time to get what you want. I will build a website that is a listing of the resources we need often. It should make physical workers less frustrated with the clerical work we need to do.

🎉 I Built My next Gemini Gem AI Assistant! Description: I upload my monthly invoices and it is instructed to gather info of dates invoiced, due date, invoice #, plus all the charges and fees. Name of my AI assistant: Monthly expenses What it will help you with: it produces a table so that when I go to do my bookkeeping, I have one big reference doc instead of a pile of papers to flip when invoice puts their info in different places. I can ask it to send the output to either Sheets or Docs for that step. Test prompts I used: I uploaded several docs/invoices into the Knowledge section for the Gem to have as references. What I liked about the result: The table is a lot cleaner than my hand written one ever was. I know I still have to go through the invoices once by hand, to be able to upload them. Now I am not worried about double checking the math or looking to see if I forgot something in the invoice.

I have a physical skills type job. Driving the truck to site and then operating the specific equipment that it carries. My co-workers and I are asked to do more and more admin work by the office staff. In most cases we are workers of body not heavy IT kind of people. So, I am looking for ways to simplify the admin tasks they ask us to do. Consolidating the tasks and methods into one place and then letting AI do as much as possible for us. We would do the tasks with more accuracy and timeliness. The group of us operators wouldn't hate this work so much if it was simple and accurate once data was entered. win win I hope.
