Diving into myself.
Just started the ADHD Awakening Assessment and already realized the systems I thought I was "failing" at actually failed me - because my brain needs the bigger picture and meaning before it can engage. Turns out my struggle to *start* things isn't laziness. It's wired to something much older.

@Melody Vi Thank you Melody 🙂
Filling the gaps.
Section 2 of my Snapshot just hit different. I realized my endless "preparing" before I start anything isn't perfectionism - it's protection. As long as I'm still analysing, my work never gets judged. And apparently seeing the pattern was never going to fix it, because it's not running in the part of my brain that sees.

@Pattie Baring So true, I have discovered that in my childhood this was never the big problem for me, but it has gradually become a bigger and bigger thing for me.
The artist inside.
Section 2 of the Awakening Assessment just showed me that the invisible kid who stopped being able to cry was the same one who climbed to the top of trees and improvised music for hours. Turns out my "disappearing" was never emptiness. It was an artist watching everything.
Finding a way.
Just finished the first section of my ADHD Snapshot and realized something wild: the reports that called my writing "limited" as a kid were full of imaginative stories and drawings. I wasn't failing to communicate. I was communicating in a way no one was grading. And that "I never finish anything" thing I never understood? Turns out it has an actual explanation.

You are absolutely right Bobbie. It was there all the time but the perspective was wrong for me at the time.
Catching a glimpse of what could be.
Just finished all 3 sections of my ADHD Snapshot and realized something. I've been calling myself lazy and undisciplined for years, when what I actually described was an energy problem, not a character problem. I've had "small glims" of success and confidence before. Turns out those weren't flukes. They're proof of what's actually possible.
