Something I wish I knew earlier.
I'm building a SaaS on my own, using AI tools to move faster than I ever could solo a few years ago. And somewhere along the way I'd built up this picture in my head of what the work should look like: smooth, fast, one win after another. Here's my actual week. Two days lost to a database migration that should've taken an hour, an afternoon reading GDPR guidance instead of writing code, and one genuinely good moment where a feature I'd been stuck on finally worked and I sat there grinning at my screen like an idiot. That's the real ratio. Mostly grind, occasionally magic. I'm posting it because I'd have found it useful six months ago to know that the unglamorous middle is normal, not a sign you're doing it wrong. The AI doesn't remove the hard part. It just moves it somewhere new. So if you're deep in the boring bit right now: same. Keep going. What's the least glamorous thing you've worked on this week that actually mattered?

Claude Code asking at every step?
Hey everyone! Working through the AIS challenge with Claude and hit something I think we all run into. I wanted to build a weekly newsletter that automatically researches my market and delivers a briefing. Claude built it out and honestly I like it a lot. Only thing is I kept getting permission prompts I didn't understand, mostly coding stuff I'd never seen before. I just kept clicking yes. 😅 Now I'm sitting here like... it works, but I have no idea what's going to break. Still pretty in the dark on the code side. Do you guys stop and try to understand every prompt before approving? Or do you trust the AI and learn as you go? #AISChallenge

If you’re not technical then you’re not going to know what to look for in which case permission prompts probably isn’t going to help much
Christmas 🎄
Hey! I am located in Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX I own a Xmas Light installation business and I have a full-time year-round staff that tends to the business. It is a very fast pace business and we have so much data that I started watching Nate and I have built over 70,000 lines of really clean code that works with over 40 applications applications in an an interface for the company. I am really excited about the growth and ecosystem that we have built digitally. I found Nate about a month and a half two months ago, and have been watching his videos and went down the deep rabbit hole of operating systems and interfaces and user experiences to build this out. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to go to, to see information and I’m happy to be a member here.

Wow that’s very powerful and is very telling of the opportunity AI has opened up for non technical people. Very interesting to me from a software engineer perspective, how someone non technical can make so much use of creating software
15k Day
Built a software entirely with Claude Code/cursor Started this process less than 2 months ago, and had a 15k day today. No previous coding experience. Crazy what’s possible!
