I run the experiments. You steal what works. Straight training that gets a normal person to their first online sale. No theory, no guru nonsense.

Wins: this is where you'll brag. Here's the first one.
This category is for one thing: proof that the stuff in here works. First sale? Post it. First DM asking to buy? Post it. First person who said "yes"? Post it. I'll kick it off: the "5 real questions" opener in Swipe It came from a member who used it to land his first 4 interested buyers before he'd even built the product. That's a win. Your turn's coming. When it lands — even if it's $7 — you post it here, and The Colony celebrates it like it's $7k. Because the first one is the hardest, and you'll have done it.

Swipe It: the AI prompt that finds your first product idea.
Paste this into Claude or your LLM of choice: "I want to make one small digital product ($7–$27) that solves a single annoying problem for [describe who you want to help]. Ask me 5 questions to narrow it down, then give me 3 specific product ideas I could build in one afternoon." That's it. It interviews you, then hands you three buildable ideas. This is the whole toolbox idea again: the AI is the research assistant you didn't hire. Run it. Post your best of the 3 ideas below and I'll tell you which one I'd build first.

Swipe It: the "5 real questions" cold-outreach opener.
Stop pitching cold. Steal this instead. Go to a group where your buyer hangs out and answer five real questions — genuinely, no pitch. On the fifth, add one line: "I actually put the whole fix in a little guide — want it?" That's it. You've turned a cold room warm before you ever sold anything. Worked example: a member used this in a home-organizing group, answered 5 questions over 2 days, and got 4 people asking for the guide before it even existed. He built it that night. Try it this week. Report back in Wins.

Tool of the Week: the one that replaces a $500 designer.
This week's tool does the job you were about to pay a freelancer for: turning your rough idea into a clean, sellable one-page lead magnet in about 20 minutes. No design skill. No Canva rabbit hole. You type what you want, it builds it, you tweak it. That's the whole philosophy of The Lab in one post: you don't hire the designer. You buy the tool that makes you the designer. Drop a comment — what's the last thing you almost paid someone to do that a tool could've handled?

Experiment #001: I tested whether a $9 product outsells a $27 one.
Ran the same offer at two prices to a cold audience. Same copy. Same traffic. Only the price changed. The $9 version got 3x the clicks — and less total revenue. The $27 version made more money from fewer buyers, and the buyers were nicer to deal with. Steal this: cheap doesn't mean easy. Price is a filter, not just a number. Test your "obvious" price against one that scares you a little. What's the highest price you've been too chicken to test? Tell me below.
