Easiest method to separate speakers in a single track?
I have a video call that has good sound on my side but my guest has "small room echo". It bugs me enough to check into ways to upload and have it separated. I dropped descript - squadcast it was more work than I gained value from. I've ChatGpt Searched and https://voice.ai/tools/stem-splitter this popped up. Options that you have used that may help? Thanks

Word to your monkeys uncle ! I learned that Word has transcription in it. I pay for office and discovered this thanks to asking ChatGPT to transcribe and womp womp needed the text only. Using Adobe Podcast to transcribe the drag is to copy the text is manually and the screen won't slide. Word to transcribe and then upload to Chat GPT for a "kick ass title and summary". The next test will be with GROK it says I can attach an MP3 and it will do transcribe, summary and title in one step. This appeals to my lazy and time crunch. What AI do you use ?

@Johnny Flores interesting ! I always liked FSAE ( their most recent episode here ). we would recruit Jim Russell Mechanic Training Program students there. I was at FSAE 2000 at the Pontiac Silver Dome and Carroll Smith and I were laughing at the tallest guy we had ever seen on a Team. Technically, all team members were supposed to be able to drive. There is no way this dude would ever fit ! 14 years later, when I got to Honda Performance Development ( now HRC-USA ), I was assigned to be the Procurement LPL on the Acura Programs . The Program Manager walks in and sure as hell it was him! We had a good laugh at The Ohio State University's amazing win and how he tried to shrink on stage all afraid of being disqualified. Ha good memory unlocked. I may contact this show. Interesting how he has a video set like so many podcasts do now. More Tv than radio seems to be the way.

Agreed! The audio is enough work as it is. We are in an era of everyone wants to be a TV station and I too bounce on YouTube but not when "doing" stuff. It's all audio then while hacking in the garage or yard work. YT is replacing TV, Podcast is an option to regular radio.

The Day You Post Your Podcast Really Does Matter.
Howdy, I wanted to share the importance of picking the right day to post your episodes. According to Analyzify and Podtrac, most podcast listening happens midweek, with Wednesday pulling the biggest numbers and Tuesday and Thursday close behind. Monday’s not bad either. But Friday through Sunday? That’s the stretch where podcasts go to be ignored. If you’re posting on weekends and wondering why your audience isn’t growing, that might be why. But (like Pee Wee Herman says, everyone’s got a big but) some podcasts actually do better on weekends. Let's say there's Friday-night TV show and you run a recap podcast. It might make more sense to drop episodes on Saturday than later in the week. Or if you're podcast covers a Western religion, dropping episodes on Sunday could be your best day. Edison Research found the biggest listening block happens between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., followed by 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., typically when people are getting ready or commuting. Analyzify shows a similar trend, with most weekday listening happening between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (I don't know why they don't just say "the entire work day") and a smaller bump around 11 a.m. on weekends. If you want your episode ready for listeners, post early, sometime between 2 to 5 a.m. If you’re on the West Coast, that helps you hit East Coast feeds first and may even help your show trend by the time the West Coast begins listening to podcasts. Timing won’t save a weak podcast, but if you’ve got a strong concept and its executed well, picking the right day to post episodes can help with growth. When do you usually post new episodes, and how’s it been working for you?

I usually do Tuesday (schedule) but I was behind and I find my episodes have a long tail.

I have a cashe and schedule via Podbean I'm good through mid January right now. After the 49ers v Cleveland, I need to get off the couch and start editing - as oral histories it's less schedule driven. I do add in new stuff occasionally and had a website hit turn into a good interview and posted. And that has lead to another new young and up coming driver. I have hours on "old guys" that I have to get into after years of gathering. I started on the road to a documentary film about the men and women of Motorsports in 2020 and then Rona came to town. I even had a request from a proper network producer when we lived in LA. But after years of that hag not leaving town I converted to audio only podcast. I suppose I could do a film after I retire in a few years but that remains to be seen. For now old guys and remote video is in place to keep the story alive and in my control.

Man what I need is more time ! Extra credit to you for turning me on to Podbean. I got the old episodes uploaded and since they are reruns I call them Saturday night specials and they drop every other Saturday. That builds me time into January for podcast is alive and since Podbean links to LinkedIn where I get the most traffic it's a winner.

I'd Love Feedback on a Podcast I'm Developing
Howdy! Hey, I've been developing a podcast over the past several weeks. Actually, this process started two years ago, but I got started with the wrong people initially. Then, this summer, I was given a grant and used it to create this proof-of-concept episode that I'm going to use, along with a pitch deck, to attempt to find sponsors. This podcast is hyper-focused on the city I call home, Sacramento, and it's niche is pushing people to get out to support the arts, theater, restaurants, and other cultural events. Hi The audio is great. Your voice is well presented. The guests are clear and their reviews are well organized. Conte t is lost on me as a non Sacramentan but hyper local focus and strong support of local business is a great niche.
