Before all this came up and I spent my entire day texting you LOL, I was looking into a link that my older son's girlfriend sent me. It is for entering your measurements, then it prints out patterns you choose. I haven't looked into this yet because it sounds like there's a catch of course. The youtube video I started watchin of someone who checked it out 5 years ago said something about it being a guy who programmed and one day decided to make something that would help people. I don't know if they ever have charged or anything. I've not been able to get past the video yet. I let it die so I'll have to go try to catch the rest in a minute. Wanted to mention that to you in case you may decide to go that route JUST IN CASE it is a freebie. I know that would be incredible. I just have so many Lutterloh patterns now that I am sure I'll likely be using that a lot because I already have a few rolls of paper I purchased one as gift wrap that has the grid on the back (that is nice) and is far cheaper, esp, during the holidays! AND I also bought a good sized roll at Hobby Lobby recently. PLUS using a marker is cheaper than buying ink for my printer. Of course, I've yet to try getting a professional print shop to print patterns for me, which is likely still cost efficient compared to that doggone printer we own for ink. I don't mind drawing dots and drawing out patterns. It would be fun to get an exact set of basic patterns drawn out accurately and printed out. My husband speculates that maybe this website--> freesewing.org that I've been just now talking about, maybe they'll let you try getting a pattern or few for free, then suddenly start charging. In such case, I'd get some really basics so I could hack off it to make my own designs anyway. That was his speculation. I will find out when I go on it and check it out. I just want to be briefed a little in case they come at me with anything unexpected, like you have 5 days to use this discount! or whatever :) In which case, I will likely just stick to Lutterloh as my happy place for fit.
Story Book Pillows and Embroidery
Here are a few of my Storybook pillows that I've made. The pocket in front holds a book that coordinates with the fabric. Have you made some?? Please post!

Hi again! Fancy meeting you here LOL! Well, to be honest, I seem to be more of a collector than getting down to doing some things. I do have a few cloth quilt printed books I still need to sew together after all these years! Thankfully, I have a new great grandson to share these things with since my kids are grown and the grands are either nearing adulthood, or range down to upper elementary school. No way will they need or wat these. I love what you are showing though! It appears you have actually embroidered these yourself! WOW AND WOW! GREAT JOB!!! Oh my gosh! These are super cool! Storybook pillows with a compartment for a BOOK, of course.

You have my admiration. I have no desire to make such fancy quilts. My mind is already boggled enough, thank you :P lol My first mother-in-law was so proud of her endeavors and she had a nice quilting studio plus became a national quilting judge. When she passed and all of us were given a free reign to pick out pictures she'd kept that we wanted, every one else was grabbing all the pictures that were connected to family events, etc., while I was the only one going through pictures of what she loved to do, quilting. She had so many pictures from her judging days too, plus projects. I was no longer married to her son, but we had maintained a relationship. I took most of her crafting pictures, leaving a few for anyone else. That was more about who she was and less about the family, I felt. Just to mention, I love all your wonderful quilts, and one that I might be able to attempt would be the looks like tee shirt logos and pictures. I'm just plain when it comes to some things. I am proud of your quilting for you! Maybe I'll acclimate to it someday. The first thing I sewed was a patchwork quilt for my doll. That's about it on quilts :) haha. I think it was all linen squares of my mom's. I also lined it with a striped sheet. I'm sure I still have it packed in my old doll trunk.
Ever do something a little... um hasty???
Picture this.... here I am out with my brother and we see a yard sale sign.... and when we go into the yard where the sale is, much to my surpise it's a Stampin' Up sale! Apparently, the person who was a rep was selling a bunch of stamps, dies, inks, paper... the"whole enchilada" as the saying goes! Now I was just putting my studio together atmy house and one thing I wanted to do was mixed media... and here is the gold mine! So what do I do? Buy literally 100's of stamps, and dies and inks and the whole gamut. I was so excited I made more than one trip!! So I have have a studio full of fun paper crafting things.... so far I've made bookmarks and a few cards! I'm loving this media.... I have a gel plate and am going to play with that soon too. Are you a paper media person???? I'd love to see some fun stuff!

Hi, I started messing around with it a little some years ago, but got side-tracked. I never bought a cricket or any of that (yet:) but did buy a cheap paper-making gadget from a kids section. I tried a few times in making homemade paper. I really need to try some more.. It didn't feel all that satisfying because I didn't feel I'd tried it enough to get decent results. Because I have so many interests, I just have the paper-making gadget and will try again at some point. Likewise, I started playing around with decorating and making my own planner. I also collected some scrap book making things with big idea and some I got from my mother's leftovers. Since I am in Seasons of Crafting Circle in skool, she has one project I want to look into, that is, Post Card creation. Now, I did not mention first, that I also like collecting post cards. I am a bit of a nut, so I have them plastered up all over the guest powder room so they have an amusement to read while in the water closet. One of my pals came walking out who had never been in there before and loudly stated that she is going to do that in her bathroom too! She loves the idea. I also have a large framed poster in there with various styles of outhouses, then some artifacts on the shelves of various touristy characters of a sort, plus little caravans, or small trailers. It's just my sense of humor. I've always thought stamp collecting was a cool thing too, but only saved about 10 or 20 all my life, LOL. Another collection I used to think was cool, but not now, was butterflies and moths. I changed my mind once I realized they were often not gotten after they died, but killed in the process of some collector's need to fulfill a collection. Send some pics out of your new dies and other things you've picked up then! It sounds like a lot of sorting and organizing ahead. What are you goals for it now?

Yes, I have done things hastily. I am an impulsive person who has started trying to add some constraints to myself due to lessons learned. Don't ask me to explain please. It is endless. We can say, I just start gathering everything I think I will need for an endeavor, but when I land to try it out, I may not have as much enthusiasm to do it as my gathering of stuff enthusiasm! Cheers!
