✝️Day 2 Reading

The story of Noah struck me hard a couple years ago. Picture this, you’re in the middle of a desert building a cruise ship because the voice of an unseen God told you to. The ridicule he must have faced all those years yet steadfast in his faith and job is admirable, possibly underrated among other ‘Biblical heroes’. I believe it was Josh Howerton I saw recently talking about the impact of Genesis 7:16, specifically ‘And the Lord shut him in’…it wasn’t Noah’s craftsmanship or thatching, etc. that kept them safe or closed them in…it was the hand of God. 🙌🏻

@Traci Poe Noseblind lol I have backpacker friends that have spent weeks at a time out in the wilderness…i think they say after day five you just don’t notice it 😂 Our old house was built wrong and it had moisture issues that led to mold…we never really realized how bad it was until we left the house for a week….😮‍💨 but God may have made it smell like blueberry muffins 🤷‍♂️ 😂

Job is such a loaded read…it really needs to be broken down to get all the goods but I’ve always remembered the story of Job when i was down but now rereading it I’m thinking more about his friends.

@Michelle McCartney Job 16:1-5 just made me think about how we should comfort friends, brothers and sisters in Christ.
✝️ Day 1 Reading!
You can get today's reading here. One part that really stood out to me in this reading, right at the beginning is how Genesis 1: 3-5 talks about how on the first day God make light and he separated the light from the dark and called it day and night. Then in Genesis 1:15-18, on Day 3, He separates the light on heaven and earth into day and night. So what was he talked about? I have read about how the first separation of lights is his separation of Good and evil, the chosen and the fallen, the ultimate separation between creation that is one with him and creation that is not. I'd love other interpretations and understandings though and i'd love to hear what part of your reading you found the most interesting!

Playing catch up! Year took off running lol Everytime I read Genesis my mind think of the wonder…I also enjoy some of the conversations it brings to the table with both believers and non about pre-flood days. Ultimately the purpose behind everything…like you say, the separation of dark and light or good and evil….this wasn’t all happenstance, it truly was divine placement.

Our God is so good 😍
John 10:10 NIV [10] The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. https://bible.com/bible/111/jhn.10.10.NIV Today I'm spending some time to reflect on how good and fulfilling our Lord is. My favorite way to worship is with music! What is your worship song that's on repeat? Put the link below 👇

I have pretty much abandoned secular music aside from old stuff. So all my playlists are christian music. But my oldest asks me to play Skillet - Hero and Forrest Frank -God is Good daily multiple times. I did get reminded of Trading My Sorrows and had that on a lot lately
