Welcome to Coffee Shop Academy!
Here it is — ready to copy and paste directly into Skool. 👋 Introduce yourself — let's meet the people behind the cups Before we dive into strategies and numbers, I want to know who's in this community. Drop a comment below and tell us: 1. Where are you from? Country and city. 2. What's your coffee shop called? And how long have you been open. 3. What kind of place is it? Specialty, neighborhood café, grab and go, coworking vibe — whatever describes it best. 4. What's your biggest obstacle right now? Not the generic answer. The real one. The thing that's actually keeping you from growing. One sentence is enough. 5. Drop a photo. Your coffee shop, your bar, your best-looking cup. Let us see what you've built. I'll read every single reply. And if I see something worth commenting on — a pattern, an opportunity, something I've seen before in other cafés — I'll reply directly to you. This community works because the people in it are real operators running real businesses. Not students. Not dreamers. Owners. So introduce yourself like one.

Hi, I'm Rita. Pleased to meet you all. May I ask if there is a translation function?, otherwise it will be difficult. I have a new business, Cafe. The Olive and Pepper. My pride brand is freshly ground quality coffee in an area of my town that doesn't offer it anywhere near. I prepare and sell quality hot and cold food, eat in or takeaway. I can sit 24 people comfortably. I have been in business for 8 months. I refurbished the cafe myself with some help and I am the sole owner and manager of the Cafe; an impossible exhausting task, but achievable with many delays, errors, and learning curves! I am passionate about people using our space and equally feeling valued and comfortable enough to visit with family, friends, colleagues and on their own. I have finally got a good understanding of the business and generally happy with it apart from the fact it does not pay me any wages, and any income goes straight out to pay for the staff who all work part-time to work with me. It needs two staff each day with an assistant working at weekends. I try to work a few hours by myself to save costs but it is impossible to see any routine to when the busy times are. Income and expenditure cancels each other out. I have invested and no doubt still will when certain costs can not be paid from the business bank account. It is extremely difficult!
